What they found inside the master bedroom was pure horror: Scott and Janet Pettit — a loving, well-respected couple — had been executed in their own bed, shot seven times as they slept. The fire wasn’t an accident… it was a deliberate, cold-blooded attempt to destroy every trace of the crime.
What began as an arson call quickly spiraled into one of the most shocking family betrayal cases in recent true-crime history. Investigators uncovered a twisted plot allegedly fueled by greed, inheritance, life insurance payouts, and one prized 1961 Corvette. At the center of it all?
