1:00 What are you doing? I am at the studio right now, and I know you're thinking right now. Wait a minute, I thought she said she wasn't doing a release this week. Well I'm not. This is not a regular release like you're expecting. But this is something we have to talk about because if you've been paying attention, I'm having a live podcast event coming up at the Southeastern at Livingston Building in Walker, Louisiana, and I've had so many people go ahead and get their tickets already. I think the sucker might almost be sold out. So if you haven't gotten your tickets running, grab those. You can go on Facebook page and I've got a link there and grab them. It's gonna be on July twenty eighth at seven pm, but the doors will open it six. We are gonna have food trucks there from Buddy's Barbecue, and I don't know if you're local, you know Buddy's Barbecue. It's freaking phenomenal. And I can't have you listening to me talk on an empty stomach. You need some food in your belly. So we're gonna have food there, and then if you want to get you a little drankie drank on, you can do that too, because we're gonna have whiskey on wheels and they'll be there to serve you so you can partake in the partee. We got themed drinks coming up to that you're gonna hear about that are kind of cute. So you can eat, you can drink, then you can come inside and there's gonna be some of my merch put up there, and you can buy shirts, and you can even meet my sister.

And we're gonna have a bunch of special guests there too, and trust me, you will know them. It's not gonna be a special guest you you're like, who is that? You will know them. I will also be after the show, ready and available to sign autographs and take pictures and meet everyone. It's well known by people in South Louisiana, and I just want you to be prepared when you come that this isn't just your run of the mill. I don't want to say run of the mill murder or something like that, but this isn't your run of the mill story. It's very heartbreaking, but it needs to be told. And I'm going to do these victims some justice. Yes you will, because you cannot fully understand the loss unless you fully understand who the victim is. Right. So I'm going to be proud to tell this story and all of it. The media missed a lot, and I want to be able to give those personal details that I have right about the story. So you're in for a good one.

5:51 Now something else while we're just on this high, I'm on this train of just happiness. Do you know that my Pie podcast was nominated for the People's Choice Podcast Awards? I mean, I'm I hadn't even doing this a year. Look the oldest awards available in the entire podcast space, or the People's Choice Podcast Awards. You know many people that listen to you listen to Woody someone that's one numerous People's Choice Podcast Awards. He actually broke the record last year for the most you go Woodis and one one particular, I guess run or annual show. So very prestigious to be nominated in a category that Woody Overton was nominated in is so I can't even believe it. Honestly, I'm like, you gotta be kidding. I'm not surprised, Kelly Jenness, Well, Kelly Jennings, I'm telling you, I was just dumbfounded. I fell back in my chair, like you got to be kidding. I'm but I am so humbled and so honored to just be nominated. It is huge for me. First of all, the way that the podcast awards works and why Kelly is so excited about this, why I particularly love this particular podcast awards ceremony is it's voted on by the people, i e. The People's Choice. That's why they call it that. And y'all are the listeners. It's users. It's not a panel that sits down that picks their favorite podcast. It is strictly voted on by the listeners. And there's some things that you have to do as listeners to get your favorite podcast in the running and in the actual awards bracket. Okay, so basically the way this works is you get nominated, then you're in kind of the running. Kelly was nominated, so she is now in the running for a People's Choice Podcast Award with the other true crime podcast. I think there's like twenty more or nineteen more that are in that running. So what you're what you're voting for right now is to put Kelly in the finals.

9:31 They have like a basically a top ten slate and that slate will be announced August sixth, So the voting for the People's Choice Podcast Awards is going on right now, right now until July thirty first, So you have until July thirty first to go and vote in. What you're gonna do, You're gonna go to the website, which is UH Podcast Awards dot com, so it's www dot Podcast Awards dot com. When you get there, you're going to have to register, So basically, you put in your your email address and make sure you're use an email address that you check frequently because you're gonna have to verify. They'll send you an email for verification purposes. If you don't verify through that email, then your vote will not count. And the reason they do that they've had a lot of problems in the past with people manipulating those Podcast Awards. Now they made it virtually impossible, so you have to verify. You're going to enter your name, your email, your password, and you'll confirm the password, and then you'll click the button that's basically saying, would you like to be considered as a voter for the final round.

The reason for that is if, if, and when Kelly makes that final slate of ten and they're going to send out random emails to people that click that button, and they're gonna let you vote for who you consider the best true crime podcast in Kelly's case, and you will have to vote again if you're considered, if you're lucky enough to be one of the people that gets that final email, So very important that you click that button. Now, you're also gonna it's gonna ask you who your favorite or who your biggest podcast influencer was. Put Kelly Jennings in that box. Any podcaster in the world can be put in that box.

11:35 Put Kelly Jennings by name in that box, and then you select whether you're a listener, a podcaster, or both. If you're someone who listens to podcast, you're obviously a listener. You would check that box, and then you're gonna go to another page, and that page is going to show a bunch of categories you can vote for. If you want to vote in some other categories. If you listen to other podcasts, that's fine. When you when you see best True Crime Podcast, you're gonna click the menu and it's gonna pull up twenty podcasts or so. One of those. As a matter of fact, it's the very last one, because Unspeakable starts with you save the best for last, the best for last. You'll see Unspeakable, a true crime podcast by Kelly Jennings. You highlight that you don't have to vote in all the categories. If you just want to vote for Kelly and you don't want to vote in any other category, than at that point you would save that vote and that's it. That's all you have to do. And then at that point, at the end of all of this, that'll announce the final slate on August six, and hopefully Kelly will be up there because all her wonderful people voted for Kelly for Best True Crime Podcast. Or just make sure so important you confirm in the email sent to you by the Podcast Awards that you confirm that email address. If you don't do that, your vote will not count.
