All right, So this case, y'all, it's a current trial that just wrapped up, So this is not an old one, literally like a week ago. This just wrapped up. So it's one you may have been following. But if not, get ready because this one it's one for the books. So it's gonna take place in Tennessee, and I'm telling you this is gonna be one that pierces your soul. And it it. Made me physic like repulsed, if I'm being honest, and it almost pulls the aggressive side out of me, which I know people know I'm already aggressive, but let's see how it strikes you and see if you feel the same way when I'm done. So this one takes place in twenty nineteen, but it just went to trial last week.

3:15 Because remember, just because something happens one year doesn't mean it's going to go to trial, especially when it's one of this magnitude. So it's recent and it's big in the crime news. If you're following these up to date cases, then the name Jennifer Paxton is gonna ring a bell. If not. Let me tell you a little bit about her. She was born in nineteen eighty four, same year as me, and she was raised by her grandmother. Now, I want to tell you it was a decent upbringing. When she was younger, her her cousins lovingly remembered, you know that she was a fun kid. She was a blast to be around. But the light in her started to just fade away as she got older. So when this took place in twenty nineteen, she was now thirty six years old, and she had found herself in a place that she never expected to be, and honestly, she was struggling in life.

4:06 So there had been a series of setbacks mixed with poor decision making, and it just found her spiraling into drug use that led her to just be a full blown heroin addict and suffering also with alcoholism. So over the years, she gave birth to seven children and they would all eventually be removed from her custody. And at the time that this took place, her children ranged in age from twelve to twenty one years old. She was homeless, and she just wandered the streets day after day. And I know that what I'm saying, right now doesn't seem very positive, but it's the truth. And I want you to know that Jennifer wasn't having a good time. My heart as a mama hurts for her. That she had seven children, that she lost custody of all of them.

5:00 Heart hurts for those children. Obviously there was a reason why, and I could see why you would just become desperate and fall into despair. Now, her mother was still alive and her father was in prison, and she never had a relationship with him. She lacked a strong male figure in her life, and the only time she would really go visit family or her mother was to beg for money from her grandmother, who would get a Social Security check on the first of the month. So when you're looking at photos of her, because I did, I looked at these photos. She wanted to be pretty, y'all. She would take selfies with a phone if she had one. Her hair was brown, it was just below her shoulders, and at times you could tell when she was having I guess a better streak in her life because she would have highlights in her hair. She had a toothy smile when she grinned. Usually she had no makeup one and she had brown eyes and just an average looking woman living a hard life and time was paying a toll on her body. But she was trying to be pretty.

6:06 I don't think there's a woman that walks the earth that wants to be unattractive. She was trying, but her lifestyle was not very conducive to maybe what she wanted. Her home life was a mess growing up. Now, when I said she had a decent upbringing, I mean her grandmother did a decent you know, did the best she could to raise her. But her home life was just an absolute, you know mess. And obviously this cycle was repeated. Her family would sometimes get messages through messenger, you know, asking her for food. And luckily, even through all of her struggles, Jennifer was loved. Her struggles were profound, but she did have at least one cousin who would keep tabs on her and would help her whenever.

6:52 She was able to. And her cousin's name was Britney Payne, and like I said, she would do what she could to help her cousin. And this included things like she would drive to this wooded area where Jennifer had set up a tent and she would give her some money she would allow her to come over to her house from time to time to take a shower and try. To give her some decencies. Her cousin never said this, but having known drug addicts and known addiction, it's hard to love people who are in the active throes of addiction because you can't trust them. You don't know if they're gonna steal from you, you don't know a lot of things about them. So loving someone and opening your home to them, if you've ever been around an addict, they're two very different things. So Jennifer's existence was a pitiful one, but also self induced, and eventually it was realized that she was actually using her body for prostitution. Now what I've told you to this point is brutal honesty, but I do feel compelled to say this as well. I refuse to reduce her existence to the fact that.

7:52 She was a junkie. I went through photos of her from years gone by, and I'm gonna tell you what I saw. I saw a young girl who was honestly trying to make it. Eventually, I saw a young mother who gave birth while in the throes of a horrible addiction. She was sick, she was not a waste. She was sick, and there are photos of her looking healthy and in a floral dress with slides on her feet and long brown hair. Photos of Christmas time with the family that she loved so dearly, and she's smiling ear to ear as a child on the same patterned couch my own grandmother owned. You know that brown and cream patterned couch in every early eighties home with the woodpanel walls. A matter of fact, today is my grandmother's birthday. I just thought about that. It's her first birthday in heaven, and that's okay. And maybe this is the kindred spirit that I feel with this girl that you know, we have a lot in common, although we have a lot that's not in common. But she was like me a young girl. She was full of hopes and dreams. There's photos of her sitting on Santa's lap and she's holding hands with her loved ones.

8:59 Look at her blue roofed. Prom dress and her hair was all done up in another photo, huge smiles on her face. She had a life that was valuable, although now in current times she was suffering. Jennifer's mama loved her, and although loving her had been challenging, in the recent years because of her addiction and her behaviors, her family still wanted to know where she was and that she was relatively safe, so they usually spoke to her every couple of weeks when she came around for money. But they hadn't seen her since December the third, and it was now February going on almost two months, and they had not heard from her.

9:40 And it was like clockwork when that check came in. That girl knew she was coming to try to get some money. So usually if she wasn't out in the woods at her tent or whatever, you could find her in jail. And they liked that, not because they were mean, but because again people who have experienced this will understand it. But you know that your loved one is safe, you know that they're being fed, you know that they're being given those basic decencies of living when they're in jail. But this time Jennifer wasn't there. Matter of fact, she wasn't anywhere they normally could find her. Most recently, Jennifer was known to walk around the area of a local I guess I'd call it a dive bar. It was called the Pinthouse on Merchant Drive and this was a place to get some greasy food. They'd boast arm wrestling and trivia nights. They have a seventy four percent recommendation score on Google. If you're wondering, I looked it up.

10:33 I was curious what kind of. Place it was. So it also is a place that they could get rowdy at night. So there was like a baseball bat that they kept behind the bar that they would pull it out and bang on the bam, bam, bam. They'd bang on the desk if they needed security to come help them. To kind of give you a feel for the place. Well, Jennifer was commonly seen in that establishment using their restroom, even though that was frowned upon the workers. Again, they weren't mean. They just knew that once you let one transient in to use the bathroom, the floodgates would open and then all the non paying homeless people would be up in there using all of their facilities. But lucky for Jennifer, there was a cook there and he looked after her.

11:15 He wouldn't show. Her off whenever she would come in. He had a soft place in his heart for her, and everybody knew it. Matter of fact, the other workers there picked on this cook and they claimed that she was his quote unquote girlfriend, and he would just laugh at off, knowing that she just needed help in life and that he was going to let her use the bathroom. So her family checked the restaurant as well as all of these normal places that she frequented, but she was just simply gone. So by February second of twenty twenty, Jennifer Gail Paxton was reported missing by her family. Now, considering that she was a transient with a high risk lifestyle, this would be a challenging person to find no matter what, but police were up for the challenge and they dug in hard to find her. To put it bluntly, though, the police found nothing. When I say nothing, I mean nuhhing, not a morsel. Nobody knew anything. It was like she just poof disappeared. No one had even spoken to her since December.

12:18 The last known contact with her happened to be the police when they ran her name. They had an interaction with her when she was spotted just twirling in the roadway near the pint house. Now I don't know this for a fact, but I'm assuming that, yes, she was probably high and just innocently just twirling in the roadway. And that was the last time that there was a sighting of her. When the police kind of had that interaction. Eight months would pass and no one would see or hear from Jennifer, not even when that monthly social Security check came in that she always showed up for to beg for. Where was Jennifer Well. Across town there was a married couple that lived in an Oakridge apartment complex and their names were Mahogany and Colt Pico. Now I want to describe cult for you because you might get tickled by this. Colt's like a stocky guy. He's a stocky fella.

13:19 He's chill. He's got this real laid back attitude. But he's not much of like a peoplely person. He's just happy to come home be with his wife. He's like that typical husband who goes to work and then comes home, watches football and he'll take. The trash out. He's husky, he's got a beard, and he just doesn't have time for anyone's shit. And I get tickled by. Listening to this guy talk because he's just just a good old boy. But as is usual, Mahogany his wife was the polar opposite. Social butterfly, friendly, helpful, and she gives off this very wrong maternal feeling about her. Her voice is soothing. She comes across as like a listener.

14:06 And I don't know her ethnicity, but I want to just say that she gives off these strong, nurturing vibes. And she looks Hawaiian to me. She's very tan, she's got long black hair. Forgive me if I'm wrong, Please don't come at me. It's just an honest observation. I wanted you to kind of feel the essence of her whenever I'm talking about her. And this Mahogany was exactly the type of friend that another renter in the complex wanted in her life. That other renter was twenty six year old Rebecca Dishman. Now, Rebecca is of rounder stature. She's got a double chin, she's got squinty green eyes.

14:49 I wouldn't say that she is traditionally pretty. She has this Her hair's thin, it's kind of stringy. It's split in a butt cut straight down the middle, and she's kind of don't be in stature, And don't think I'm being mean. I'm just letting you know what she looks like. She had been a lot through a lot in her life. She had lost both of her parents when she was eighteen years old, when she was a senior in high school, and there was a sadness that surrounded her. Although her uncle and her aunt did take her in, but they eventually got aggravated with her because she was one of those girls that was always getting engaged right and moving in and out with different And I'll say men, but I'm going to say young guys. Five engagements to be specific. Now, I know right now you're tripping and you're like, what do you mean five engagements? Who gets engaged five times?

15:41 Let me explain this one to you. This feels more like when young people claim that they're engaged, but they really have no true financial or long term commitment plans. They just want to feel more legitimate by saying engaged. Did y' all know what I'm talking about Where it's it's not a real engagement, it's just wanting to feel validated, I guess in their relationship. Now, Rebecca was interested in healthcare. She worked as a CNA for a brief time, and then she was a waitress at the local huddle house. So I was kind of curious, how do you go from going to school to be a CNA to being a waitress at the Huddle House when you're interested in healthcare? Well, everyone that knew her described her similarly. They said she was very simple and quite frankly, pretty immature. She had literally been fired from every job she ever had. I'm not kidding you, every job she ever had. They cut her loose. And that seemed to back up this claim that she wasn't very intelligent. Now, she wasn't mentally disable or anything like that. She just wouldn't score high on an IQ test, So I don't want you to get that confused. She also didn't seem to realize that she wasn't very smart. It was like blissful ignorance, I guess you could say so. For example, a neighbor that lived in the complex talked about a time that it was a Halloween and how excited Rebecca had gotten to dress up for Halloween, and she even went trick or treating

17:11 with the fifteen year old daughter. You know, she's twenty six, but she she missed that social cue that she was too old to be trick or cheating. Now, remember she's not mentally disabled. She's just not bright. But then again, she may not have been bright, but she was very acutely aware of another part of her life, and that was the fact that she was hyper sexual. She seemed to cling to anyone that would give her attention. Any male that spoke to Rebecca she all of a sudden was interested in. She had a pattern of being kicked out of the homes that she lived in, so she would float between the all these fiancees parents' homes because, by.

17:56 The way, you know, they didn't have their own home. They're young. And then she eventually moved in with her best friend, who let her stay there for a while, and even her best friend was like, you gotta go. She just wasn't easy to live with. She loved to paint her nails, but darker colors were more her speed. Matter of fact, her personality all is rather dark, and in recent years she had become this self proclaimed goth. She liked vampires and Marilyn Manson. She liked those dark fairy images. You know, the type of people I'm talking about here. So maybe this totality of information explained the mismatch and age between Rebecca dishman and her recent boyfriend named Sean Finnegan. He was fifty six years old compared to Rebecca's twenty five twenty six, but he was interested in her and she jumped at the chance at being liked. They had met on Facebook and then they moved in together after knowing each other a whopping two weeks. Sean wanted her to move in and was happy to have someone to share the time with other than his mom. Yes, that's what I just said, his mom. He asked Rebecca to move in with him at his mom's.

19:09 Wow. So neither of the pair were highly educated, combined with Rebecca's penchant for laziness, and so money was scarce in this household. But what they lacked in money, they did make up for in companionship, and they both seemed to be drawn to the same things. So Sean is kind of an average build man. He's on the skinnier side. He gives off greasy biker guy vibes. He's got long gray and brown hair it extends past his shoulders. He's got these little like. Their beady round eyes and they have like an oddness in their placement in his face. It's like they're almost inset deeper than the average person, and he has a very strong brow, and he comes off as gruff looking and.

19:56 Not very approachable. So Sean worked in a restaurant and he was a huge fan of smoking weed. This dude was proud to smoke some weed and he would let you know on his Facebook if you were curious all about his weed smoking. Definitely a rough around the edges guy, but said to be a reliable worker and he was friendly with the other's staff, so at work they had no problems with him. So, while Shawn worked most days, Rebecca was unemployed and she referred to herself as a stay at home girlfriend. So Shawn's mother, her name was Francis, was very sick and she was actually on hospice care, so Rebecca would help her out with her meds and around the house. But they weren't close or anything. It was more like they were roommates sharing a two bedroom apartment. Sewn and Rebecca were in one room, Miss Francis was in the other, so oftentimes Rebecca would go outside to smoke. And that's how she befriended Mahogany Pico that I mentioned previously. So they would meet outside of each other's apartments. On the porches, they would smoke breaks, and they did this enough that they considered each other to eventually be friends. So over the months that they hung out, Rebecca began to really talk about her relationship with Sean and opened up about some problems that they were having, and she she would borrow Mahogany's cell phone when they hung out so that she could get on Facebook and talk to friends because she didn't have a cell phone of her own. So at one point, Sean, realizing this, walked over and he

21:28 told Mahogany directly that he did not want her letting Rebecca use her phone. So Mahogany kind of thought of Rebecca as a little sister. She kind of mothered her, and it aggravated her that it seemed like Sean was trying to control her, like why do you care if she's on Facebook? Like, let the girl have some fun. Well, a little more time passed and Mahogany began to notice that Brucees were appearing more frequently on Rebecca, so she asked her about him, and Rebecca admitted, look, Sean Bruce me, and Mahogany would say, look, you don't deserve this. No one deserves to get bruises on them, and especially by someone that's supposed to be in a relationship with you.

22:08 But Rebecca insisted, look, I love him. Okay, we have our struggles, but I love him. Eventually, though, Rebecca went over to smoke with Mahogany, and Mahogany noticed that she had black eyes and her glasses that she wore were broken. So enough was enough, and Mahogany was willing to help Rebecca leave if she wanted to, but Rebecca just wasn't ready to go yet. And if you've ever experienced domestic violence or someone who's been in a domestic violent situation, you understand it's just not that simple for people. And I'm not going to judge anyone who doesn't leave. I'm going to always suggest you get help, and you ask for help, and there are resources out there. But I'm not going to judge someone who doesn't leave. But this fighting between Rebecca and Sean seemed to be corroborated by another neighbor that shared an internal all with Rebecca and Sean's apartment. Okay, so there was a shared wall between their two apartments. Now, this neighbor's name was Kelsey Coons, so she and Rebecca were not friends like Mahogany and Rebecca, and they only had a handful of interactions. Based on those handful of interactions, Kelsey said she thought Rebecca was sweet and she even one time let Rebecca use her cell phone, and while Rebecca had it, she.

23:25 Made a fake. Facebook profile under the name Luna Dishman and she confided in this other neighbor that she wanted to get away from Sean because she was afraid that Sean was going to kill her. Now, the neighbor Kelsey just kind of thought she was exaggerating a little bit, but she did allow her to use the phone to see you, Okay, if you need to talk to somebody, you can use my phone. She also heard beating and banging on the walls in the past, but there was a more recent incident that was kind of replaying in this neighbor's mind and it had stuck with her. After Rebecca said she was afraid of Sean, this neighbor thought she heard a fight.

24:08 She said it sounded like things were being thrown and that voices were being raised, and she remembered it to be between eleven am and one pm. And the reason she remembered that was because she was super aggravated because she had a little baby and that was trying to nap and this you know, interaction was waking up the baby. That's how loud it was. And she could tell because of the shared wall, that the fight had moved, you know, it was in the kitchen, and then it had moved into another room. And she said, then there was a break. It got really quiet for a little while, and then she could tell that there was a commotion going on in the upstairs bedroom. Now she was very specific about said commotion. She said, she heard what she thought was a headboard banging into the wall, and it was aggressive and it sounded like people were having sex and the headboard beating against the sheet rock.

25:02 And this went on for days. Obviously there were little breaks in between, but it went on for literal days, and so Kelsey Coon's, the neighbor, got it increasingly agitated. Now she never called the police or anything, but was beyond frustrated at the lack of care that her neighbors seemed to be, you know, exhibiting in terms of their noise level. If you want to have some rowdy sex go for it, but I mean, damn, move your headboard, pull your bed back. Well. More time passed and eventually Rebecca, back talking to Mahogany, said okay, look, I'm ready. If you'll help me get out, I'm ready, I'll go. And she said, Sean's just being too much and I'm really scared. I've got to go. So Mahogany said, no problem. If you want out, today's day and I'll help you today. So they ran to the apartment. They grabbed a few trash bags. They stuffed all of Rebecca Dishman's things into these trash bags and then they quickly threw them in the car and they headed out towards a woman's like abused woman's shelter. Now, Mahogany's husband did not want her getting involved in this whole situation, but he knows his wife, and he said, look, I know her.

26:11 She's dead set when she wants to help somebody, Just get out of her way. And that's what he did. So as they were driving off, Seawan's mother, Miss Francis, realized what was happening, and she started yelling out of the window that. I'm gonna call Sean. I'm calling Sean. Well, the two women were like colling, screw you, lady, and they tore out of the driveway and drove off into the distance, ignoring. The old lady's yelling. Well, shortly thereafter, Sean shows up at the apartment and he goes tearing into Mahogany and Colt Pico's driveway and he was pissed. I'm talking pissed with a capital P.

26:51 He was yelling at Colt the husband about Mahogany taking his girlfriend, and he was threatening to kill Colt in the front yard. Now, I told you cold ain't gonna take any shit, but he did try to diffuse the situation. But when Shawn wouldn't calm down, he was like, f this and he called the police. So while this is going down, Mahogany has no idea. She and Rebecca are driving towards the shelter and they're talking about how they are planning to try to get an order of protection against Sean for Rebecca. Well, during that drive, Rebecca just starts breaking down, crying, legitimately crying and visibly upset, and that's how it kind of rolled into her explaining the extent of the abuse that she said she had been subjected to by Sean. The reality of Sean and Rebecca's relationship was that they were anything, anything but vanilla, and they had some sadistic tendencies between them. All Right, real quick, I know I have some teenagers that listen to this sometimes, some younger sided teenagers. I'm just gonna go ahead and say, parents, if your kids are younger teenagers, may want to take a little pause here, but I'll leave that up to you.

28:09 Now. Sean was the more dominating of the two in the relationship, and he used violence and sex as punishment when Rebecca made him mad, and they worked in this like master servant mentality in their relationship. So the quote unquote punishment included he would lock her in a dog cage. He would sometimes shit on her, He would chain her up, and he liked to cut into her legs for like sexual gratification. He would put a dog chain on her neck and she would walk around on all fours in this master servant relationship. And sometimes he would burn her with lighters. And they were into some freaky shit. That is all I can tell you.

28:56 Now. As hard as that was to hear, that wasn't the worst thing that Rebecca was going to say to Mahogany because out of left field, after she's explaining all of this abuse in this relationship she had, you know, endured. She then looks at Mahogany and says, oh, yeah, Sewn also killed a girl. So Mahogany didn't quite believe it at first. She really thought that Rebecca was just being the kind of extra and just saying things because she might she was mad. But that's when Rebecca looked at her and said, look, I swear on my parent's grave he killed a girl, and she started tearing up. Well, Mahogany knew her well enough to know that that was not something she would do because she loved her parents that were deceased. She cared about them a lot. Rebecca then recounted how Sean supposedly strangled a girl to death and that she was being stored in a freezer in their apartment. So, stunned and horrified, Mahogany cantinue to drive and just listened as Rebecca kind of mouth vomited word, vomited a whole bunch of information that was terrifying. When they made it to the police station at the nearby Oakridge County where they were scheduled to meet with the intake woman who was going to be at the battered woman shelter. The woman no showed, so they were just kind of sitting there, and they ended up speaking with a detective who decided to take Rebecca back for further questioning once she had

30:29 exposed this truth that supposedly Sean had killed a woman. Well, at this point, Mahogany had a break from Rebecca and she calls her husband and says, listen to what Rebecca just told me, and kind of recounts about the dead woman supposedly in a freezer. Well, turns out that the police at this point were still at the apartment. They had shown up because of that original call of the disturbance where Sean had been threatening Colt, and this was on August fifth of twenty twenty. Officer La Dodell responded to the disturbance at the Pico's apartment, and Sean was pissed and was saying that the Picos had quote gotten in his business and taken his girlfriend off to a woman shelter.

31:12 So they're going back and forth, and that's. When Colt pipes up and says, yeah, officer, maybe you ought to talk to him about there being a dead body in his apartment too while we're at it. So Officer Dodell directly asks Sean, okay, is there a dead body in your apartment, to which he denied, and he was getting angrier and angrier by the second even yelled at the cop. No, there ain't no damn body in my house, all right. So I want to tell you this real quick. I know right now you're like, well, why didn't the police go in and look there's going to take his word for it. Well, the answer is yes, because that's not enough for someone just to accuse you of having a dead body in your house. I mean, we could all do that for people we don't like, and then the police would bust. Up in your house. You have to have more than that.

31:55 And since they didn't have enough probable cause other than someone's supposed, you know, claim to someone else telling someone else that there might be a body in the apartment, the police did what. They could to diffuse it. They told them, look, you boys need to separate, do not come near each other again, and you better play nice because if we come back, somebody's going to jail and then the police left. Well, meanwhile, Rebecca was still at the police station talking to the detectives, and she recounted to Lieutenant Roy Heinz was his name, He was the lieutenant over criminal investigations. She recounted in detail what had supposedly happened. She told him that a woman had been beaten, raped, tortured, and then ultimately killed in the home by Sean. Now, as this detective Roy is listening to all of this, his feeling was just kind of kind of taken aback by how emotionally flat Rebecca was during the whole telling of this story. And so this could be referred to as emotional blunting if you've ever heard of that. But that's basically when you could have You could attribute this to someone who's who's gnum to both positive and negative reactions, like people who can't seem to cry or feel sad about things that would normally make you sad. They also can't seem to laugh about things that a normal person would laugh about. But this can be tied to like PTSD from this event, but it also that's one side of it, but it also could be attributed to someone who's a friggin sociopath, and

33:26 so police would have to kind of figure this out because emotional blunting is also a characteristic of people with psychopathic traits, and it basically manifests a reduced capacity to experience emotions. So this can include a diminished response to negative stimuli, emotional detachment. And so they were kind of riding the line trying to figure out is she suffering PTSD or is she nuts? You know which? Which? Which way are we going here with this? So trying to figure it out. They listen in and they needed some like solid evidence that what she was telling them was truthful. And ultimately, when she was done telling them everything, they believed her.

34:09 They believe she was telling the truth. Now, she wasn't under arrest, but they believed her so much that they decided to read her her miranda rights due to the significant detail that she had given in her statements. So at this point, Brian Yuck, he's the sergeant over the drug unit and he's the director of their crime Task force. He decides, let's go set up surveillance on the home. Let's keep eyes on Sean and see what he's about and what he's doing. Because obviously Sean would realize his girlfriend's gone, and if this is true, we want to put eyes on him and make sure he's not. Getting rid of a body. Well, all Sean really did was hang out around his house on his porch and smoke and then maybe go to work. I mean, he didn't do anything that seemed odd or out of place. So that was all on August fifth. The evidence and I'm going to get into it, but the evidence that Rebecca submitted was so compelling that police were able to obtain a search warrant for the home that day and in the early hours of August sixth, the next day, due to the alleged severity of this crime, the SWAT team was activated to execute the search warrant on Sean Finnegan and Rebecca Dishman's home, and they even used their armored vehicle for safety. That's how red flag the police wore about what Rebecca had told them. So at four twenty six am, SWAT entered the home and they cleared it. The only people there were Sean and

35:40 his mom. Now, Sean was reacted, he was surprised, and he was in shock, and he was in disbelief when he heard that he was being accused of having a dead frickin body in his house. He was taken aback. He's like, this is insane? Are you kidding me? And his mother apparently wasn't grasping why they were there because she was upset and couldn't believe that swat team was there and doing all of this in her house over quote a little weed. So I don't mom was kind of struggle busting here. I don't think she understood the gravity of what was happening because weed hadn't even been mentioned at this point. Maybe it was her assumption because she knew her son, you know, smoked weed all the time, But I'm not.

36:21 Sure why she said that. So. Detective Alan Moore was the lead at the scene, and he was immediately struck by how tidy the house was. It was nowhere near this house of horrors he expected based on what all Rebecca had said. But the upright white freezer that Rebecca had mentioned was found upstairs, just as she said it would be, so prepared for the worst. The detectives found the freezer, and then they slowly opened the door and lo and behold, there they found nothing.

37:05 The only thing in that freezer was a pizza box. There might have been a burrito too, I can't remember, but there was nothing in there. There was no body in the freezer. So this was a relief for sure, but it was also dumbfounding after just all of these very detailed specifics that Rebecca had given. So perplexed that maybe they had been duped, Detective More kind of stepped back in the room, and I can just imagine him with his hand over his mouth, just looking around, going, Okay, this house is clean, it's tidy, and he's just looking around the room for anything that might lend itself to what Rebecca had said, and it just wasn't there.

37:47 So he's like, maybe she really is crazy. Maybe we got this wrong. So as he's looking around the room, curiosity got the better of him because there was something narrow poking slightly out from underneath the foot of the bed, and so just wondering, maybe this is a piece of evidence of some sort. The detective bent down and he grabbed it to look at it. Now, it was something wrapped in plastic, but when he grabbed it, what got his immediate attention was the fact that it was freezing cold. It took him by such total surprise it startled him enough to scramble backwards from it, and it just shock the hell out of him. So he got back, you know, got his senses back to him, and he and other officers tried to pull the object out front of the bed, and they couldn't, so they grabbed the mattress and they flipped it off the bed, and immediately they realized that there lay a woman, face turned up, but in the fetal position, frozen solid under the bed. She was clearly battered and broken. Now our whole body was there, but she had It was very obvious that she had been greatly traumatized. And something that was very unsettling to the officers as they looked at her was that her nose was missing. Rebecca Dishman, she told the truth. There was a dead woman in the home. She had been removed

39:21 from that freezer that she was in and stuffed under the bed. What the detective had grabbed was the dead woman's frozen foot. So this was now a crime scene. Who was this woman and how did she end up frozen solid under a bed. So as they inventoried the home and they processed the scene, they also found some other items out on the porch in a filthy bucket and this included a choke caller and dog chains, which was some stuff that Rebecca had mentioned. Little did they know at the time, but they were about to solve an eight month miss person's case. So, as you've likely guessed, police had just found the body of missing Jennifer Paxton.

40:09 But how did she end up in Sean and Rebecca's home. What was the link between the two? They didn't, they didn't seem to have any connection. Well, when questioning Sean, he denied, complete, completely denied responsibility for killing Jennifer. It it kind of made me think of this. Do you all remember when Paris Hilton was arrested years ago and she had cocaine in her pocket and then when the police were like, oh, we found your cocaine in your pocket and her only her response to them was like, oh, these aren't my pants, I borrowed them. This seemed to be that level of you know, proclaimed innocence. Well, yeah, I just accidentally ended up with a frozen dead woman under my bed, you know, totally plausible, said no one ever, So you know, do you did you know her at all?

40:54 Sean and Sean replied he did know her. He was that at the pinthouse where she would come and use the bathroom. That's the one remember the workers joked about her being his girlfriend. Yep, he's that cook from the pinthouse. When she and Sean had struck up that little short term friendship, he at one point offered to her that he could come and stay at his house with him and his girlfriend for a while if she needed shelter and if she'd like a place to sleep, And she was more than happy to jump on that offer, and that sounded way better than being out in the elements in a tent. And so I'm sure Jennifer was thinking she hit the jackpot when she realized that Sean and Rebecca were willing to help somehow, and especially seeing that she was down.

41:47 On her luck. So, according to Rebecca, this is what happened. Jennifer and Sean arrived at their home, and Rebecca was initially surprised to see Jennifer with him. She wasn't expecting a woman to come home with him. She said that Sean introduced the two of them and they exchanged greetings and then eager to be helpful to the people that were being so gracious to her, and sharing their home. Jennifer happily helped to make breakfast with Sean and Rebecca, and then she wanted to take a shower, and they said, no problem, and she ran off to go take her shower. I'm sure that she was just relieved to have a fresh bath, to get cleaned up, to have clean hair, and then once out of the bath, she returned to the kitchen where they all ate breakfast together. They were chatting and having small talk as they kind of ate, and the two women were getting acquainted. But something had happened while Jennifer was upstairs showering that she had no way of anticipating. There had been a conversation that was taking shape downstairs between Sean and Rebecca and the possibility of whether they wanted to kidnap the unwitting Jennifer and use her for their sexual gratification. And this is scary to me, you know, Jennifer thought she was getting a helping hand, when in reality, she had walked right into a trap with horrors that she had no idea would come,

43:17 and she was not in a position to probably think clearly, and she was desperate, and they sensed that in her. After they ate breakfast, Sean brought Jennifer over to the back door and was showing her some stuff he had, and he had a baseball bat that was leaning up against the back door, and he was showing her the baseball bat, so they began talking about it when he suddenly raised it, swung it and cracked Jennifer over the head, causing a severe injury to her skull. After this happened and sensing, oh my god, my life is in danger, Jennifer may have been seriously injured, but she tried to put up the best fight that she could. She mustered up all of her strength in trying to escape Shawn's attack, and as the attack continued, Shawn's mother started walking down the stairs for her medication, so Sean turned and yelled at Rebecca to go upstairs and handle his mom while he finished off what he was doing assaulting Jennifer. So Rebecca said she went upstairs and brought the medicine like she was told, and then when she came back downstairs, she said she found Jennifer using a fireplace great to try and defend herself. Although very injured and bleeding all over the floor, she did everything she could. She being Jennifer to try to defend herself from the attack that was taking place. So the a fight had extended from the kitchen to the living room, and there was a blood trail that followed Jennifer's every step. And she wasn't even able to swing the fireplace great or anything, y'all.

44:49 She was weak and she was hurt. Her head was killing her. She was more of just cowering and placing it in front of her body. Now, I'm gonna jump in real quick and tell you what Shawn's account was of what actually happened. Sean says that Jennifer agreed to go to the house with him and that they were going to have sex for one hundred dollars, and that he went to pee and she went. To go take a shower. So after he says that that Jennifer was hit in the head by Rebecca, then he comes back and says, and then Jennifer voluntarily went upstairs with the both of us after being hit with a baseball bat, like, are you fricking serious? But he's you know, I'll let you decide what you think is true here. But you know, by the way, I thought i'd add this too. It turns out that the baseball bat used to quiet down the customers at Shawn's work. Remember, they would bang on the counter. It's never been recovered to this day. I guess that's just a coincidence. I just I think you need to know that as well. So Jennifer was weak and woozy by this point, She's got a serious head injury, and both Sean and Rebecca picked her up from under her arms, and then they both escorted her up the stairs to their bedroom. Sean then told Rebecca to go get some cleaning supplies and go clean up the blood downstairs, while he started to engage in sexually assaulting Jennifer. Now this is where I think I get frustrated when I

46:19 hear people talk about what happens to our victims, because most of the time it's left that sexually assaulted her. Sexual assault to me is like, you know, grabbing, touching, doing something that someone doesn't want. I'm gonna tell you the nitty gritty of what this guy did, because that's not strong enough. This is abuse, this is rape, this is horrible. So he brings the injured woman up there, throws her down, rips off her pants, the whole time, he's yelling and spewing atrocities at her, and he's screaming things at her, and this is like a direct quote, why don't you shave?

47:00 Well? At that point, Jennifer just started crying and sobbing. She didn't know what to do. She was laying on the ground. He started spitting on her, super aggressive in that attack, and then he all out raped her. A very brutal, brutal rape of this girl. And he wasn't the only one involved. I want to tell you that he forced Jennifer to perform oral sex on him on the floor next to the bed, while Rebecca came back up and watched it. According to Rebecca, Sean then got mad at Jennifer because she wasn't able to completely satisfy him during the oral sex, and so he called Rebecca closer and he pulled Rebecca's shirt down, and then Rebecca finished him off. During that time, Rebecca stayed in the room with Jennifer. Once Sean and finished the second act, she stayed in the room with Jennifer.

48:03 Sean then returned back up to the bedroom he had walked out, and he returned with chains like he used to tye up dogs. Outside, and that's when he pulled Jennifer to the foot of the bed and he chained her to it like a dog. He wrapped the chains around her and chained her to the foot of the bed. He then nonchalantly kissed Rebecca goodbye and told her to keep an eye on their captive make sure she doesn't leave. And he had secured the chains with padlocks, and then he took the keys with him, so he left for work, and Rebecca gave her food and drink. She said they smoked some cigarettes during the day, and Rebecca said that they did talk and at one point she claimed that she tried to cut the locks from Jennifer as well as to cut the zip ties, but she just couldn't.

48:51 Get them off. And when Sean returned from work, he got really mad at her and was yelling at her for messing with the restraints, and as punished, he made Rebecca perform oral sex on him. I want to point something out here. Though Rebecca could have gone and gotten help, I think a normal person would have done so. In an abusive situation, half ass attempting to remove chain restraints, it just doesn't touch my heart very much. She had she had. Freedom of movement, She could go outside and smoke cigarettes, she could go talk to anybody she wanted to, but she never went and got help. I want to briefly point something else out to remember how I said Sean and Rebecca had a master slave sexual relationship. I mean this in an agreement sense, like bondage and BDSM aka you kinky sex. That is something that some people engage in, And the thought behind this is that it does something emotionally for the two people that are involved because it falls somewhere in the wheelhouse of increasing feelings of trust between the two people and respecting boundaries, and there's like an emotional safety that comes with it. You're able to explore, you know, non conventional sex interests without judgment.

50:04 So that's kind of the turnal one whenever it's. A bondage BDSM kinky sex master servant relationship type thing. But that's what Rebecca and Sean were experiencing together. But what Jennifer and Sean would experience together was more about the sadistic side. Sadistic acts include chaining some on or handcuffing them, imprisoning them, biting them, beating them, and it's all with the purpose of sexual pleasure from the humiliation, the fear, and the mental harm it's doing to the other person. It's a very different take depending on which person you're doing this with. So to argue that both Rebecca and Jennifer were both victims experiencing the same torture, I don't buy that at all, and I'm going to touch more on this later. I think it's two very different experiences that these women are having. The torture that Jennifer would experience was more than rape. She was also brutalized in many ways. This included having adult toys forcefully shoved inside of her body by Sean, as well as other objects, all while Rebecca sat there and watched. They would engage in group sex basically together, and Jennifer of course didn't want to, but she was chained to the bed.

She had to, and Sean and Rebecca raped her together, with the final pleasure occurring with Rebecca straddling Jennifer naked and Sean then, according to Rebecca, forced Rebecca to climax on top of her. So real quick, you're supposedly a victim in this whole sex act, and you're somehow being forced to orgasm on top. I'm not what No, I'm not buying that at all. When this happened, Jennifer cried out and was screaming and was just revolted by what was happening, scream out, I'm gonna throw up.

52:01 So Sean rare. Backed and just slapped her across the face. And after the sex acts were completed, and this this went on and on and on, you'll, Rebecca and Sean would then crawl into bed together and fall asleep, leaving Jennifer naked and chained to the bed on the floor. So eventually Jennifer would need to use the restroom. So the next day she was introduced to her quote unquote bathroom, which was a flower pot sized bucket. I'll call it a bucket, but it's a pot. And it was the one that they used outside to put their cigarette butts out in that now became her toilet. She was stripped of all dignities.

52:43 They also forced her to wear adult diapers. At one point, Rebecca even said that Jennifer begged Rebecca please just let me leave, and Rebecca looked at her and said, I wish I could do that, but I can't. This does not feel like two women being brutalized. This feels like one that has a power over another. When Jennifer asked Sean to let her go, Jennifer said, please let me go. He looked this woman in the face, and I want you to know this has gone on for days, Brutal rapes, brutal attacks, over and over and over again for days.

53:24 He looked that woman in the head that he had beat over the head with a baseball bat, rape slapped in the face, forced to wear adult diapers, to engage in group rape. He looked her in the face and said, you're not going anywhere, and you need to prepare her because you're gonna die. He enjoyed scaring her. He scared her. Out of her mind. Jennifer started crying at the fear of what she had just been told, and Sean responded to that fear by kicking her and spitting on her as he continued to beat her. And now he added to this strangulation as part of his torture tactic. He would use a shoe string to strangle Jennifer within an inch of her last breath, and then he would release it, and then he would do it again, and then he would release it, and he found joy in watching her suffer and the fear that she could not hide the reality of what was happening to her and she couldn't escape it. Not to mention, she was suffering from a horrendous head wound from a baseball bat across the head. Eventually, after this torture had gone on and on and on, the two of them put Jennifer in the shower and they bathed her because she was in such terrible condition and she was so injured that there was blood on the floor, there was blood all over her, and there was blood that had to be cleaned up on everything. So while they're bathing this woman off, this poor woman, Sean had come home

54:55 from work that day and he had bags of bleach and washrags and shower curtains, which Rebecca claimed she thought they were just for the house, but then later realized it was clean up the blood and all of the abuse up That just didn't click, she said. Whenever he brought it home, supposedly, Sean started yelling at her, her being Rebecca, and said you're taking too long to clean it, and said come back, come back over here, and so she went back in the bathroom and she found Sean straddling Jennifer and strangling her with that shoe string. But this didn't go on for minutes. It went on for hours and hours. The agony, the start and the stop of this abuse and this torture to almost strangle someone to death and then to let him have a breath, just to continue to do it over and over again.

55:45 And he did this so long that he even took smoke breaks between his torture sessions. And eventually, y'all, Jennifer's body began to give out. She was dying. Sean coldly went to empty and ashtray as Jennifer laid there, taking her last breaths on the floor, naked and chained to a bed. Now, Rebecca says that she then got on her hands and knees because she knew Jennifer was dying, and she whispered goodbye to her. And. Sounding as if this was a moment of kindness is lost on me, because people, friends, I'm here to tell y'all, this was not that. You know. She whispered to her that she was dying. And right now, if you're like Kelly, I'm just I'm not on board with you right now.

56:37 I want to add something that you don't know yet. How would you feel in this moment if I told you that Rebecca liked Satanism and had expressed this. In the past. Matter of fact, she liked all things dark. I did tell you a bit about that. She may be talking to the police as though she's a victim. But something old Kelly Joe looked up called Facebook history. It doesn't lie. Rebecca isn't smart enough to make a long term plan. So I went and found her old Facebook pages and you can too, by the way, and the photos are telling and she's not just this innocent young girl in her twenties. Trust trust me.

Did she do anything And the answer is no. She said, she just kept checking on her pulse. But she was dead and Rebecca stayed in the room with her all day, laying dead on the ground. Oh girl who worked as a CNA realizes someone's die and does.

58:00 Not go get help. When Sean got back that night from work, the two of them cleaned up the rest of the blood together that was everywhere. They poured bleach on Jennifer. They bleached down her body before they rolled her in a shower curtain naked, and they wrapped her in garbage bags and then together they carried her body downstairs to place it in the freezer. Now what freezer, you ask, I'm sure you're like, wait a minute, She's not going to fit in their freezer in the kitchen. And it's also odd that someone with no money would have a random, extra brand new freezer, right. Funny that we should bring that up, because it just so happened that he had ordered one a short while before Jennifer was killed. They did a check.

58:47 Police had a check of renaissenter records, and they found that the deep freezer was purchased in December of twenty nineteen early December of twenty nineteen, and it was delivered that day that he ordered it, and he instructed them just to leave it on the porch. This is premeditation, y'all. He ordered that thing. This wasn't a spur of the moment that he just happened to get her. He already had the freezer before she was even dead. But this freezer wasn't built for a human body, right, I mean, that's not what they're built for. And Jennifer didn't fit very well. So, according to their own accounts, Sean was in the front of Jennifer's body, Rebecca was behind her body, and they were pushing with all their force to fit her in this freezer, and Rebecca commented that there was snapping noises, you could hear breaking intendons popping as they were shoving her in. And Rebecca was really freaked out at one point because blood even squirted back out and shot out and sprayed her, and she didn't like it.

59:43 She never says the words freaked me out at any other point when she was retelling the atrocities committed upon Jennifer while being abused, and I found that convenient. The only time she was freaked out was when the blood squirted on her as they crammed her body into a freezer. And once they were able to break and bend her into the freezer, they shut the door and then they turned it and faced it towards the stairwell in the apartment so it couldn't be easily opened. Well weeks later, Sean became paranoid about Jennifer's body being in there, and he was afraid that someone was gonna find it. So what did they do, y'all? They pulled her out of the freezer, frozen, Then they laid her down, carried the freezer upstairs into their closet, where the detectives eventually found it.

1:00:33 And then they went and got her frozen body, carried it upstairs and stuffed it back in the same position she had been removed, popped it right back and frozen, still naked, stripped of all of her dignity, and then ran in an extension kill. They did it with. They did it with the same thought process that when I come home from the grocery store, I put the meat in the freezer, like not even like they're just saying this, like it's not a whole human being that they'd done this too. He then ran an extension court into the closet, and then he placed new locks on the doors to keep anyone curious from getting into it. And her body remained in that home for eight months, frozen, but she wouldn't stay sealed up. And most stories at this point have assailants getting rid of bodies, but not Sean.

1:01:20 Are you already? As if this couldn't get any more horrific, Sean, during that eight months, continued to use and abuse her frozen dead corpse. Rebecca recounted a few instances I thought i'd share with you, like the fact that she was taking a shower, and she said she came into the bedroom to find him masturbating, and he had something in his hand, and when she got closer, he opened his hand and inside of it was her nose. Remember how her nose was missing. He had Jennifer's nose as well as what Rebecca referred to as her intimate areas in his hands, and he was masturbating to her intimate parts and her nose in his hand.

Freezer, and the freezer door was open while he was doing this, had the parts in his hand, and he had the garbage bag ripped open down like from her head down to her breasts, and he was jacking off to a nose and female parts and or you know, in his hand while looking at her dead face and breasts. At that point, Rebecca said she got a little panicked, and that's when she ran downstairs. And I'm gonna call bullshit here. You slept six feet or less away from a dead woman's body in a freezer, and that wasn't an issue, But somehow this was too much. For eight months, you slept with a dead woman right next to you, and but this was too much. Nafam, I'm not buying that.

1:02:52 Rebecca also, by the way, was uh you know, was sending tons of sexual TETs between she and Sean and photos of her body while he was at work during this time and Jennifer was in the freezer. So cry me a fucking river on your horrors, you supposedly felt. I don't believe you, but either way, Sean then called her back into the room once. She says she ran out seeing him masturbating, and when she came back in the room, he was so aroused by her distress that she performed oral sex on him, and Rebecca then said, but when he would get mad at me, he would try to shove parts of Jennifer's body in my mouth.

Can y'll see that two pages of typed twelve point font. They had to do a team approach for her autopsy because there was so much damage to her body. To start with. They said there were more injuries than they could accurately count.

1:04:17 She was frozen solid and they had to thaw her for days because of how solid she was, and if they were to rush her thawing, then her tissues would have deteriorated more rapidly. They didn't have a time of death possible, but clearly she had been dead for a long time because she was dead long enough and in the freezer long enough to be frozen completely solid. She didn't decompose, so they knew she had been frozen rather quickly after death. Plus it had been before rigamortis had set in, or they wouldn't have been able to bend her and crack her the way they did. As they pushed her into the freezer. Heroin when it metabolizes. Could remember Jennifer was a heroin addict. Heroin metabolizes into more f and so they checked her bile in her stomach and that came back positive just for morphine, with no other components. So that's why they don't believe she was actually high on heroin. They believe was literal morphine that she had been given, and she had such a high tolerance that she was likely able to function with that much in her system. The doctor even said that if the doctor herself had taken that, it would have killed her almost instantly, but because she was such a high tolerance, because of her addiction, she was probably still able to somewhat function or to function with it in her system. Now, lividity had set in in her bottom and in her feet, so it was like she was seated in the fetal position when her blood started pooling. Many of her wounds they found to be post mortem or after death. She

1:05:50 had blunt force trauma and slicing trauma, very large cutting cuttings on the face area on the right side of the face. She had sharp forced cuttings on her neck. There was blunt force trauma on the front of her head and on the back of her head. Her left ear was cut and it was missing chunks. The nose was missing and it had very precise cuts with freezer burn that were inside of the cut. And so she said. That the freezer burn was because of the the slice off and then not being you know, covered and skin. You know, the meat gets freezer burn. There was a stabbing wound in the center of her throat through the muscle and into the trachea. Her throat was slit. There was a slice injury and the left upper back and another a bit lower in the midline, as well as another one in her buttocks area. Her left arm had a large had large cutouts on them, and there was large pieces of missing skin and all of those big missing chunks. There was freezer burn in the middle of the wounds on the forearm. There were three parallel slices in her arm. On the inside of her wrist, and there was also three cuts on the back of her hand. There were cuts on the inside of the elbow of the left arm. Her right arm had two wounds towards the top of it as well as a slice, and she had a tattoo on her

And the medical examiner said that when Sean was trying to pull her out of the freezer to hide her under the bed, he had to use a knife and cut her out of the freezer because her skin had stuck to the side of the freezer. And they know that because the tattoo remnant was found stuck to the side of the freezer, even though he had tried to clean it up. They found her skin with tattoo ink still on the side of the freezer. Her sternum had multiple slicing cuts, and she said that those looked mostly post mortem or after death. She was stuck leaning to the left side of the freezer, so there was some injury to her arm whenever she was removed. There was a teardrop cut in her chest, which was done post mortem.

1:08:11 Her left breast had a patterned injury, and she was talking about Jennifer's nipple and the areola, and she said there was multiple cutouts and it was like a pinwheel pattern cut out on purpose, and this was believed to at least partially be post mortem. Her breast tissue was cut up haphazardly. Her right breast had cuts on it as well, with no particular pattern, just these clusters of cuts in her breast. The midline of her upper abdomen gastric region had deep penetrating wounds, like she had been stabbed in her gut. There were deep slicing injuries in the left abdomen and these were roughly eight inches. There was another deep slice a bit lower and it was also eight inches. The left side of her abdomen had a cut in it and there was a skin flap that was still attached. Her belly button had a cut over it. Her hip area had a cluster of cuts into it. Her left hand had been cut through and through, her forearm had Her forearm and her hands had defensive injuries from her fighting him off. There were five ligature marks about a quarter inch wide, and the medical examiner said that these had been regularly applied tight enough to the skin that it actually cut into her skin, like she was strangled so hard the shoelaces were cutting into her skin. This was done when she was absolutely alive, and they know this because there was hemorrhaging underneath the skin.

Her right side knee had bruising, and she had the letter s that had been cut into her buttocks. And they actually found a photo of this on Sean's camera, so he was taking photographs of work. And the ultimate cause of death was ligature strangulation. Y'all. That took me minutes as fast as I was reading to tell you all of the injuries this woman suffered. And this was not slow. It is clear, it's beyond clear that this was not an accident, that this was absolute torture, This was abuse, and this was rape. That refrigerator had been cleaned by Sean after he removed the bite the body, and I believe that was likely after that talk with Colt and with the police officers whenever they were like, hey, do you have a body in your fridge, because it was the next day the body was found, but he didn't get at all that skin was left, those tattoos that remained on the side of the freezer. And I think that this is this is I don't know what the word is, almost I guess morbidly poetic. But those were her children's names, those tattoos. She had her children's names on her body, and that tattooed skin remained stuck to those freezer walls. You couldn't take this woman away from her children, and that helped to prove she was there.

I'm not sure because their miners and the type of case this is what I'll be able to find. I may be limited, but trust I'm gonna go look into this. But they were raping children together. Rebecca Dishmand is not a victim. They worked together, and Rebecca's plea agreement stipulated that she would receive sentences of life in prison plus an additional fifty years.

And now that she pled already and she was going to testify against him, do you know what she did spending her time in prison while she was waiting to testify against him. She turned on the correctional officer. Who was wrong. I'm not saying that he wasn't, but who was wrong? She turned on him for inappropriate She turned him in for inappropriate behavior, but only when she found out that he was messing around with those other inmates, And she played the victim in that case too. Do you see a pattern of behavior here? Participate until it might not go your way, and then you're a victim?

I want to be yours and only yours. PS. I love you, daddy. Does that sound like a victim to you. No. There was also another plan that came to light during this Do you know that they planned together to kidnap one of his own friend's daughters. This was a teenager. They were going to kidnap this teenager from her home his friend's daughter. Sean had this plan with Rebecca. She was going to lay in the back seat so that when he grabbed this teenage girl and threw her in the car, Rebecca would hold her down and they would speed away with her. But by the grace of God, it didn't work out because when they pulled up, another man walked out of the home, and so they lost their chance to grab the girl. I'm happy to let you know though, that last week, at eleven fifteen am on Wednesday, August twenty first, twenty twenty four, Sean Finnegan was found guilty and sentenced to death for criminally negligent homicide, first degree felony murder
