3:14 Now, look, I had some people come at me online. Go on, holy smokes, you were talking about this mom and how she had washed those blue jeans. How is she not being held accountable for interfering with the investigation. Well, you, my friends, are brilliant. Okay, you are brilliant because your spot on what's gonna happen here, and I'm gonna touch on it on this episode. So I will not leave you hanging. Now, let's see the best friend of Aiden Fuchi. If y'all remember he went by Trey. This is going to be his interview from the police, and this is everything that he said on that night that he was last with Aiden and saw Tristan. So Trey tells the detectives that he met Aiden when he first started attending that Patriot Oaks Academy and that they instantly became friends and that they would hang out every day and his primary group of friends that he hung out with was Aiden and then Aiden's girlfriend, Zophie. And Zophie is who I mentioned last episode kind of her information that she gave up about Aiden, and she gave a lot of insight right that he named his weapons of his knives right picker and poker, that he had a fascination with violence, and that he would even pretend to slit her throat from time to time. And you know, he was an angry kid, like he had anger within him, and she really brought that to light. Now when Trey was asked, he says that Aiden was a person who didn't care about anything and that he wouldn't even seem to get mad about anything, just real chill and calm, unless someone really tried to make him mad. I don't know that I quite

4:46 agree with that, because based on things that I've read, you know, you know, you have to control your own anger. Nobody else can control you and your anger. You decide how you react to people. And so you know, to stab someone a hundred and fourteen times and then say, oh, well she must have provoked, that's that's a lot of stab wounds to put into someone. And if you were angry and had a flash out, still one hundred and fourteen is a ton, right. So he also said, okay, well, Aiden was also a big and these are his words, pothead. And he said that Aiden, all he really liked to do was talk about marijuana and violence. You know, he was all about smoking dope, and he always wanted to talk about death and killing. It was like the topic of conversation a lot of the time when they were together.

5:36 And he said that, you know, Aiden and Tristan were mainly friends. But and this was important to me. Aiden had recently said he wanted to quote move in on Tristan, but he had a girlfriend. Okay, the proof is there. He had intentions where his intent was his intention to kill or was his intention to you know, have sex with her or was it the combo of both. So something I didn't even plan on talking about when I may put this in right now, is that there are studies done on the human brain, and when we're looking at people who are violent sex offenders, it's believed that the part of the brain that houses those two components like sex and violence and rage and anger, that they're housed very closely together in the brain. And so some studies argue that the reason people flash out in anger and sex like combined is because maybe they are somehow when when the brain was created, maybe they were somehow interwoven together. And so it's kind of got you know, your wires are crossed a little bit, but anger, rage, fear, violence, and all of that are housed very closely together. So it almost kind of if that's true and that and you know, we we'd say that that's one hundred percent how it goes, it kind of makes sense why he is obsessed with death and killing, But then he's also triggered by maybe a sexual encounter or rejection to a sexual encounter. I'm

7:14 gonna bring that up again in a minute, because there's a snapchat that I thought was kind of important and not many people really have spoken about it. So Trey also said that if anything happened romantically between Aiden and Tristan, it would have had to have been because Tristan brought it up. That was kind of confusing to me because right before that he said that Aiden wanted to move in on Tristan, But then it wouldn't have happened unless Tristan brought it up. So maybe they both were kind of flirting with each other, you know, and that's why they went on that walk together and they were having their little bit of alone time and they just went horrifically wrong. Now, he claimed that Aiden brought up the topic of of wanting to move in on Tristan approximately a month before Tristan went missing, and it was brought up during a fight that he and Zophie were having, but nothing really ever came up of it. So, you know, he's fighting with a girlfriend and I guess to get at her and hurt her feelings. He says, Oh, well, I like Tristan anyway. Now, he did say Trey did say that Aiden had said some messed up stuff in the past, and he said them directly to that girlfriend, Zophie, But none of them either took it.

8:28 Neither one took it seriously. They just thought, Okay, well, he's just it's just the way he is and that's how he expresses himself. And some of those statements he included were that he wanted to slit someone's throat, and he did say that. On one occasion, Aidan told him, and this is a direct quote, it would be satisfying to watch the blood drain out. I was like, wow, you know that's satisfying to you. I'm more like a you know, doctor pimple popper type of girl. I know that's gross, but like, you know, I like watching people like, you know, etch stuff and you know, when everything's cut nice and evenly and stuff like that's satisfying to mean, not watching the blood drain out of someone's throat. But he said, yeah, Aiden talks a lot about killing people, and he also liked to fight people. He thought that was exciting, and he would make stabbing motions quite often, even if he didn't have a knife in his hand. He always was talking about like wanting to stab people. And when question a little bit further, Tray said, well, these occurrences were rather random, though, and they weren't necessarily directed at anyone specific. He just in general liked the thought of stabbing people. Okay, like life goals right there, I guess I don't you know. Wow.

9:43 Now, Tray said he had not heard Aidan make any of the comments about slitting someone's throat in approximately a month. Well, that doesn't mean jack shit to me. So just because he wasn't talking about it doesn't mean he wasn't thinking about it. So he said, when I get down to the nutcutting and they say, Okay, what happened the night before Tristan went missing. Trey said that on Saturday, May eighth, he was suspended from school and was not allowed to go anywhere, so he had gotten in trouble. Now, Aiden came to his house directly from Zophie's house, and that was about seven pm that night, and that's when he says, he and Aiden were skateboarding in the driveway, just chilling, and then they hung out in his bedroom for a little while. Now, while skating, he said, well, Aiden, I guess he got hot or whatever. But Aiden took off his hooded sweatshirt. It was a black hooded sweatshirt with two kids and a Wuiji board on the back of it, and he left it in his garage. He says Aiden was wearing pants and a white Nike high top shoe with a black Nike logo. He said that he was confident about the shoes because Aiden had borrowed a pair of Trey's van's shoes whenever they were skating, so he wanted those better skateboard shoes. He then said he believed that he was wearing a pair of Red Adida's shorts while he was skateboarding, and while he went outside, he was wearing sweatpants like when they were outside, the sweatpants were on, and he had a light gray boys in the hood hooded sweatshirt that was kind of confusing to me. So he had two sweatshirts or something. I didn't understand what those switchery was there, But he said while they were hanging out, Aiden was on his phone while Trey was playing a

11:16 video game, and he said their conversations were just like their normal hangouts. They were talking about, you know, boy things together and then his phone rang, so Trey's phone rings and he takes the phone call because he says it was a girl that he had a crush on, and her name was Ainsley. Now, while he was on the phone with Ainsley, Aiden was laughing at him and like picking at him because he thought it was funny that, you know, he liked this girl Ainsley. And so then he got off the phone and then they went and they played video games. They hung out in the bedroom, and then went outside to smoke CBD marijuana at about eleven thirty that night. Now, this is when Aiden starts complaining to Trey.

11:56 He says, look, you know this sucks. I don't like this CBD. Doesn't It doesn't you know, I don't have any marijuana, but I don't want to smoke this CBD anymore. It's not given me the high that I want. So I was gonna keep going, but then I thought, you know, maybe I can explain to the listeners if you're not familiar with, you know, marijuana or smoke and weed or anything like that, that I might could give you just a little insight to what the kids talking about so commonly right now. There's kind of three things that are happening with our teenagers. They might smoke CBD. We also have a thing called dabbing, and then we have traditional marijuana. Now, there's a million other things people do as far as drugs go. I'm just going to talk about these three. But CBD is basically the active ingredient in cannabis, okay, which your weed, and it comes from the himp plant. But it does not cause the high that you get if you're smoking the actual vegetation marijuana right the bud, And it does not does not have addictive tendencies. But and again you don't get that same high that you would get whenever you're smoking weed.

12:54 But according to you know, studies about CBD, it does provide some people with a sense of calm and overall relaxation. Again, it would be on the lower level of you know, it seems to me like kids want to be cool. It's what CBD really seems like to me. I don't. I don't. There's no really outweighing benefit of a kid smoking CBD. Now, dabbing is kind of big right now too. And I go to trainings a lot. There's this thing, parents, I'll talk to you real quick. Uh, there's a guy out there called Tall Cop t alll Tall Cop, and he puts on seminars all over the United States and if you want to be on the up and up about drug trends and how kids are hiding their dope and where they're hiding it. It talks about clothing and the slang for things, and really it's eye opening. I would encourage you, if you're just interested in it, go look up that tall cop and he's great.

13:46 I've been to a lot of his conferences and he can really open your eyes to what we are up against in this country because we drugs are miles ahead of the average the average adult trying to raise kids miles miles ahead. But dabbing is big now. It's been around for several years. It's a newer way of smoking than traditional smoking. And basically what a dab is is it's highly concentrated oil or like a resin, and they usually will put that in and smoke it through like a vape, so they may look like they're vaping, but they might actually be dabbing. And so you know, they can have oils concentrates. There can be like a butter, like a wax, and you can you can smoke them through like a vape pen or you know, any other type of similar smoking tools that you could smoke tobacco through.

14:39 And then you have your traditional weed, which is like smoking the marijuana bud right, like old school nineteen sixties, rolla blunt, you know, smoke it out of the pipe. Whatever. So he's smoking the CBD and he's complaining because it's not getting him high enough, and he wants to move on to some weed. And I think that kind of is telling about the fact that he u he is living. I know, saying at risk seems cheesy, right because at risk lifestyle sounds like prostitution and like, you know, heroin. But for a thirteen fourteen year old kid, he's kind of up on that cusp of of upping his danger level, I guess, or his behavioral level and doing things that he probably shouldn't be doing. So Tray says that whenever he invites Tristan over, he always anytime he has friends over, he always includes Tristan. And he asked Aidan, Hey, do you want me to invite Tristan over? And Aiden said yes, So he called Tristan and invited her to come over to the house that night. Now, he received a call from Ainsley and he spoke to her for a while that girl that he had a crush one, until Aidan pushed the in button on his phone and ended the conversation. And you can kind of see that, right, two boys, you know, one's not giving another one the attention, and so he reaches over and ha ha hup hung up your phone.

15:52 At that point, Trey said, Aidan asked for Tristan's phone number, called her and convinced her to leave before or her sister went to bed. So, if you remember in episode one, they had Tristan had been with her family, They had gone out to dinner and had gone back to one of the older adult sisters homes before they went back to their house to go to bed. And then the next morning was whenever they went in to go wake Tristan up to go cook the meal for the parent for the mom for Mother's Day, and that's when she was missing. So apparently Aiden called her and got ahold of her when they had gotten back to the house and she was gonna go get ready for bed, and that's whenever Aiden called and convinced her, hey, go ahead and sneak out. I know right now you're probably like, wait a minute, didn't you already tell us this, Kelly, why are you going backwards? Well, this is the actual, you know, official statement that the police she's already dead at this point, but they're getting the statement from him to kind of lock in more of a timeline here.

16:52 So this was kind of newer that she they knew that the family was going to bed and that they wanted her to sneak out before, you know, because she didn't have eyes on her at that moment, because her sister was going to bed, right. So he says though that when they got there that he was tired, Trey was tired, and he was starting to fall asleep, and that Tristan had gotten kind of upset when she was there. She got upset because she was afraid that her sister may have caught her sneaking out, and so she was kind of in a like nervousness about, oh my god, I think I'm caught. I think I'm gonna be in a lot of trouble. And he said that she made a comment along the lines of quote, oh my god, I just want to run away.

17:32 So you know, the fact that she was missing at one point that would have mattered. Okay, well did she run away, But by this point, we've got her body, we know that she's deceased, and we know that it was, you know, not a natural death. Now, they did go back outside, and this is when Trey says, Aidan and Tristan went outside together to smoke CBD. He said that he went outside and he took a hit of the CBD and then he went back inside, where he fell asleep watching TikTok's. So, Aidan and Tristan hung out outside mostly by themselves for a while while Trey was sleeping, and then they came into the house and they woke him up and we're like, hey, you know, what do you do and wake up? And that's when he said, hey, y'all gotta go. I'm not supposed to have people over anyway. I'm in trouble, and y'all got to leave. He said that they left around one ten am, and then he went back to sleep watching his TikTok videos.

18:27 So the next morning, if you were wondering, and I thought this was kind of important too, because if you're wondering, did his friend have something to do with it? Because I didn't really say much about what his friend was doing. They were able to lock him into his time frame okay, because Trey then said he woke up at nine am the next morning and he went to home Depot with his dad. When they got back from home Depot, that's when police had arrived at his house and started asking him questions, and he said, look, I haven't had any communication with Aiden or Tristan this whole morning. I haven't talked to any of them. And he was kind of at a loss of why law enforced it would be at his house. And when law enforcement told him, hey, Tristan's missing, he thought Tristan ran away because remember the night before she had said, you know, oh my god, I want to run away. I think I might be in trouble. Now. She might have gone home and then left again, was kind of his thought there. But maybe she did. Maybe she was still with Aiden, right because Aiden had an interest in her, so right then, Trey grabbed his phone and tried to contact Tristan through FaceTime.

19:30 So he's calling FaceTime and he was texting and Tristan would not answer the phone. He then stepped away from law enforcement and he made a private little call to Aiden and was like, Aiden, what happened? Where is Tristan? Because she was with you the last time that I saw her, and Aiden told him, hey, I don't know where Tristan is, and he says, I dropped her off at her neighborhood and then I went home. But Tray found that a little odd of a statement because he said, Trey said that, you know, Aiden left on a skateboard or Aiden said he left on his skateboard, but then when he went back in the garage, Aiden's skateboard was still there. So his own friend was like, wait a minute, something's not adding up here, because if you left on your skateboard, then you went home after dropping her, wise your skateboard still here. And he thought it was weird because Aiden skated everywhere that he went. So Trey then contacted law enforcement and said, look, you know she was here, but she left with Aiden. He said, I facetimed Aiden and you know, said, this ain't looking good. The police are going to come talk to you. And he said, when I told him, the police are going to be coming to talk to you, he said, and this is a direct quote, I saw a little bit of panic in Aiden's face.

20:52 Your friends know you, and he knew that when he told Aiden, I think the police are coming to talk to you. He started to panic out. At some point after that, Trey and Aiden get put in a police car together. Now, if you were not a part of something, right, then you would kind of be at a loss, and I'm sure your conversation would be like, oh my god, what happened? Where is she? Well? Where did you see her live? Right? Wouldn't you be kind of like work through it? But instead Aiden starts talking about there was blood on his pants, and Trey's like, well, why is there blood on your pants? And he says, oh, I cut my finger a while back. Well, first of all, you're a dumbass, because if you're trying to make a cover for why there'd be blood on your pants, you obviously don't know anything about DNA, right, they're gonna know what's your blood or if it's her blood. And that's when Aidan brought up, hey, we ought to make some snapchat, like the memories you're making snapchat And that's when they both started making videos and showing out in the police car.

21:49 Right, remember me talking about that and doing the peace sign and oh, hey, anybody's seen Tristan yet? But then Trey got uncomfortable because Aiden made a joke about both of them go into the same prison. Maybe we'll go to the same prison, and Trade said he did not think that was funny at all, and he didn't even respond to it because why would he be go into prison. He didn't do anything. Now, then the longer they sit in the patrol car, Fuci gets upset and he starts crying and punching the back of the seat, and he's recorded saying this quote, I'm going to get arrested for this bullshit. This bullshit. Really, I don't know if this bullshit is Tristan's life being snuffed out, this bullshit that I stabbed someone, but that's okay, Like, what bullshit are you talking about?

22:41 Because someone's dead, right, complete and total lack of remorse, no empathy, all about self. And that's whenever Trey said he overheard a conversation between the police about the statement that Aiden had made that Tristan supposed league grabbed his penis and he pushed her away. But he was confused by this because Trey said, well, I know that y'all say that Aiden said he got his penis grab by her. But Aiden tells me everything, like he tells me everything. We talked about everything, and he never said that to me. He never mentioned that to me in any conversations that we had. It was never mentioned to me that Traden had made that Tristan had made that move on Aiden when he thought about it. And this was something kind of telling to me as well. All Right, So, if I'm thinking about my friend and someone was asking me questions about maybe they were involved in something, any friend, think of, any friend you have, my mind is not going to go outside of the realm of what I think someone is capable of.

23:45 Right, So you you think your friends are only capable of X, Y and Z. I'm not saying that they're not, but but you would kind of think of them in the scope of how you know them. And what Trey thought about Tristan's miss being missing. His first it was maybe Aiden strangled Tristan or broke her neck. Why would you jump straight to that thought, like why unless you knew the propensity of danger that this kid held and that he was capable. And he said he just couldn't fathom how someone could stab someone to death. And after Aiden got arrested, Because Aiden was arrested at this point, Trey said that he went and spoke to Zophie that girlfriend, and that's when Zophie told him about a conversation she had with Aiden in which he had told her that he was going to kill someone within the months.

24:37 So there was planning here. This was not some some you know, Oh she grabbed me. It upset me so bad that I stabbed her one hundred and fourteen times. You know that that didn't happen. He was talking about wanting to kill somebody, and I think that he used Trey to help lure this girl in. He had a sexual interest in her, he was going to take it where it could go. And then he ends up stabbing her because he wanted to write and he brought his knife with him. So, um. Something that was kind of interesting about that is Uh. When I was doing a little bit of research, I came upon some of the conversations, some kind of text conversations and some um um snapchat conversations, and you know, not much was made. I guess about his you know, interest interest and sexually. But these are this is the scope of the friends that he hung out with. So Tristan's gone missing and now she's deceased. These are messages that were put out. And by the way, I want you to I want to be very clear, I'm quoting. This is not my words, these are not my thoughts, These are nothing of that scope.

25:45 But I want to read to you what they actually said. That girl probably deserved it. We don't know the full story yet. Hashtag free aiden, Like what, we don't know the full story yet? What in the hell would make you stab someone one hundred and something times. Let's just go there real quick. Even if she did do something one hundred and fourteen times, that doesn't indicate you were trying to get away from her, you know what I'm saying, Assuming she was the aggressor one hundred and fourteen times. Jesus. So then another little ass hat responds to that she should have just let Aidan fuck, but she wanted to be bossy. So what does that tell you? There, they did have a concept that he was wanting to get down with her. That's what it tells me. Now. The next statement says facts, all she had to do was drop her drawls, but she refused. I don't know where this came from. I don't know you know why they would even have the thought that he wanted to mess with her?

26:49 Unless he had been telling them that he wanted to mess with her. But I think that's kind of telling the callousness that kids can have these days. Wow, you know someone's dead and you're talking about he should have just let her have sex with him. So, I mean, I don't want to go overly into all these little tiny things, but it's a lot. Sometimes it's the tiny things that add up and show you the character of somebody. So the police even went and did you know during their investigation they wouldn't talk to one of Fucci's little cousins, who you know, dealt with him a lot, and said, you know, he was usually at our house multiple times a week. And this was a little female minor that they were speaking to. So I don't have the name, but she said the last time that she was with him was May first, but she did speak to him after he sent her a photo of himself in the back of the patrol car, which is the one we keep kind of mentioning. And when the cousin was asked if she had ever witnessed any odd behavior from Fuci, the detective said that the cousin said that he once told her quote, we might go to jail sometime in our life and that for him it maybe quote something big.

27:56 This just shows and proves all the intent. This isn't some young kid who you know, screws up epically and hurt somebody. He wanted this like he was. He was working himself up to this moment. And in some other investigations, two other friends said that on multiple occasions he wanted to kill someone by stabbing them or slitting their throat. There's no question you know that this was something that was being planned in his head. So and let's go back to Mom now, because I know at the beginning of the when I was just started talking to the beginning of the episode, I said I was going to mention some stuff about the mom. Mom irks me, and I know that I sound like I'm being mean, but she bothers me, and there's gonna be a whole lot that I'm gonna get into. But but her name is Crystal, right, and she had a friend named Victoria, and I had mentioned before that you know, she went and washed the blue jeans in the house and how you know, it was kind of mind blowing that someone would think that was appropriate. But Victoria, the friend told Crystal, Look, I feel like the police are looking at something more sinister here than just a missing juvenile. And this was before she washed the pants. This was her friends saying this could be way worse than just someone missing. So the mom knew, or at least had an inkling that something terrible could have happened to a teenager and maybe her son was involved. And rather than jump into and say, oh my god, you know there's possibly blood on my son's pants, we've got to go find this girl. Where is she?

29:22 And grabbing him by the shoulders and shaking him and saying, what did you do? Where is she? She doesn't know she's laying down bleeding in the woods. She doesn't know if she's sick or she's at a hospital, and she doesn't have a name because no one knows who she is. She didn't know anything about where this girl is at the time of this. And when she realizes, oh my god, something sinister really could have happened, she calls her friend over to inspect her son's blue jeans, right, and then says, no, I really think there's something here, Okay, I think I need to scrub him off here. And her friend even told her Victoria even testified. I told her that she could get in trouble for this, why would you alter this? Something horrible could be happening, But she didn't care. She would do anything to make sure her son didn't get caught.

30:07 That's a problem. That mindset, that mentality is such a problem. You know, you don't care about someone else's child or people in general enough to try to figure it out. You'd rather just wash the blood away and pretend like it didn't happen. That's unconscionable. So you remember during the further checking of Aiden's home that we had said they had found disturbing drawings that Fucci had had drawn. Those drawings were straight up satanic, all right, and they were violent in nature. He had a notebook in his desk that he had this stuff in, and one of those drawings was of a nude female with her arms cut off and blood pouring from all of those wounds. And then on top of that, he had put red x's over the breasts and genitals of this victim. It's chilling, even though it's just a drawing, it's chilling. And there was even a pentagram one one of the guys that he Drew, this is evil. You know what I'm saying. It's just it's just flat out evil. Then he goes online and on his Instagram page he puts that he's from Florida, spread to love fans. I guess he thinks he has fans even though he has zero followers. And rest in peace, Tristan Bailey, he wrote, I mean, this is just sick, all right, So let's move forward. Aiden is ultimately arrested on a charge or

31:38 initially of second degree murder because of Bailey's death, and once the State Attorney's office for the Seventh Circuit looked over the case, they then upgraded his charges to first degree murder premeditated because it was just so much brutality in this crime, and they decided we're going to charge you as an adult. Good for them, right, So now his asses on the chopping block. He's been caught. So I guess now it's time to start playing some games like a lot of your your convicts, which he's not convicted yet, but he might as well be a convict at this point. He wants to start playing some games. And what do I mean by playing games? All right? Even when you work in prison Okay, half of your training is don't fall for the games that people. The inmates will play, right, they're gonna play you. Well, his girlfriend said he heard voices, Yeah she did, but no one ever mentioned that he talked back to him, that he entertained them, that he was scared of them. Right. That's not necessarily what they would actually act like or behave like. So you know, but both of Fuci's friends, two of them had told him that he had mental health issues. But you know, they're fourteen years old, y'all. I'm not going to say they have a medical degree, and I'm not I don't care that they say had mental issues. I would still want this to be something that had been evaluated.

So they did bring in a psychologist and his name was doctor Gregory Pritchard, and he studied Aiden's case closely, and he was one that testified in court for this, and he did say that Fuci's past emotional trauma was something to think about and that his clinically concerning behavior in life and in jail did lend itself to that he had problems. Well, great, lots of us have problems. Lots of us have emotional trauma.

That would justify that that's a you problem, not to us problem. You know what I'm saying now, Doctor Pritchard did say he's done more than ten thousand forensic evaluations and a regular part of them has involved violent offenders, and he has worked extensively with children. And through all of the records and the people that he interviewed and all the reports that he read, he said only two of those reports that people gave information about fuji In would call him mature. So majority of people said that he was rather immature in his behaviors. Now a few other things. If you're like me and you do like to know a little more, okay, he did have academic difficulties, and it was primarily in reading in math. But I had problems in math. Hell I said, I'll go killing people and stabbing people. Shit. And they said he lacked motivation. And one teacher even went as far as to describe him as a punk. And I think that teacher nailed that he is a punk, a wannabe, and he was always looking for a fight. But overall their comments had a wide range of quiet, too respectful to defiant. He fell on that gammut and you know what I think that would be. It's because people, even criminals, they know who they can get away with, who they know what they can get away

36:57 with with certain people, and they were gonna curb their behaviors based on the people that are in their presence. That psychologists also said as far as rehabilitation went, he would like to see more compassion and feeling bad about their actions once they are incarcerated. But Fucci was well documented as not doing that, as not giving an f If he had five thousand f's, he wouldn't have given one. And he's even had negative behavior issues while he was in jail. So there's a concern to this doctor that clinically Fucci can't understand the pain that he's caused for other people because he doesn't even express sorrow. He's very callous about his behavior, and in the back of the police car that was pretty obvious. You know that he lacked that compassion, that remorse, and that sorrow that a normal person should feel, and this was pretty poignant.

37:57 He said at this point, I would say his prognosis for rehabilitation is very poor, and I would concur as a podcaster, you know, I don't think this guy's got much going for him. Now. There was something that happened during this trial that did make my heart very sad. And I think that's okay, right, we don't have to be locked in and hate everything about somebody. I think that you're allowed to be multifaceted and how you you know, absorb information about a person and their family. But one person that really hurt my heart during this trial was Aiden's grandmother and her name was Debbie, and she was brought on the stand to kind of talk about Aiden and to give her input, and she said that Aiden had loving parents. His parents were divorced, but they both wanted to see him. It's not like he was If anything, I thought her testimony there was a little bit damaging to him. Both of his parents loved him, they wanted to see him, They shared custody with him. It's not like he was dumped on the side of the road and you know, left to fend for himself. And even if you look in the video where mom was washing the blue jeans, I didn't say she was smart. I just said she loved him. But their home looks like a nice home. There's it's like a play area.

39:09 It doesn't they're not in some like trash, you know, cave in the middle of nowhere. He had a nice house, He had loving parents. He was one of five kids, he was the middle child. He came from a home where there was a love. And something that's pointed out to me here, as in every case, is that there are always victims on both sides of a murder. It's not like just because it's not like just because he killed somebody that we have to hate his whole family. And let me give you a little bit of where my perspective is coming from. I am a person who loves and loved both a murderer and a murder victim.

But it is very hard to figure out what your feelings are. You know. I woke up one day and two of my friends that were married, they were in my wedding. I don't understand what he did. I don't know why he did it. I didn't know he even had the capacity to do it. But I'm still angry at him. He took away my beautiful friend from her children. She'll never see them graduate high school. She'll never get all those moments. And it's so painfully a reminder to me.

She was robbed of it, and it makes me so angry. She didn't deserve that. But on the flip side, I don't know. I still loved him. He was still my friend, and I don't know. This grandmother did not do anything, but she was judged by the public of the court of public opinion. I saw it online and everyone acted like, you know, they kind of attacked her, Well, why didn't you do more? Well, honey, she didn't do it. She didn't have any part of it. But she loved him, and she came across to me as kind but utterly heartbroken. She was a churchgoing lady. She participated in vacation Bible school, and matter of fact, she brought this up. Aiden was supposed to be picked up and brought to his aunt's house the night of the murder. He wasn't even supposed to be there, but you know what, he went and he hung out with his friends, right, Tristan and Trey. And because he was over there so late, he actually missed the ride that his cousin was coming to pick him up. So the cousin picked up Aiden's brother, but when Aiden didn't

42:10 show up, they left him. And so he called his cousin and said, hey, come back and get me, but they said no, they did not have enough gas money. They couldn't come get him. And that just hit me so hard, because it's like, man, the most small, seemingly insignificant things that happened in our day to day lives, looking back, they could change everything. If my friend had not gone home that day at that time, you know, maybe she would be alive today. If she would have divorced him sooner. She may be alive today. But in this instance, if his cousin would have just picked him up, if they would have had the gas money and just turned around, they would they could have possibly prevented this. And not that it was their job, but you know what I mean, just the small things. Man. At this point in the stand, Aiden's grandmother fell apart and she looked straight at the parents of Tristan, and she basically begs for forgiveness, and even though forgiveness wasn't for her, I think she was speaking on behalf of her family, and she just kept repeating, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry. She said, he came from a good family, and I'm just at a loss for words. I don't know what to say. I can't fix it. I'm overwhelmed. And while Tristan's family looks stoic while he said it, I know they while she said it, I know they were listening though, And I'll tell you why in a second. But she was the epitome of heartbreak, and she seemed so genuine in her and her just utter shock in what had happened, in what they were dealing with. And I think that love and

43:42 humanity did shine through though in this case, in this instance, because even when it was all said and done, when Tristan's father got up to speak, he said, please do not punish Aiden's family. They have been through a lot. And I thought that was so incredibly wonderful. I don't know how he did it, but he did. He said, don't punish them, you know, um, because I know maybe he was talking about the grandmother, because I know that Crystal Aidan's mom was getting death threats too at some point because she, you know, she made stupid decisions. But um, the grandma even refers to her Christianity, and I believe her. I don't necessarily feel that towards the rest of her family. I think that she's a beautiful woman and she was let down by her family. A matter of fact, I'm gonna go in right now and I'm gonna drop in this audio.

He's young when he got locked up, right, and so I said, well, let me look it up, let me see, and you'll be not surprised to know that the answer is no. He is still a shiitead behind bars, he is an absolute ass hat. According to Daval County Jail, He's been in several fights, one in which was so bad he had to be pepper sprayed by the corrections officers, so you know they had to break this one up. He's also known for extorting other teams that were housed in his area, and he was extorting them for their commissary, which is like their food and their snacks and things that they get bought.

47:05 And he's gone on to even continue to threaten to stab other people. So he's really made a change of zero. He's still the same dumbass that he was. And if you're wondering about how serious he's taken this, during calls with his parents and during discussions, he refers to his cell as his bat cave, like trivializing it is, how I take that your bat cave? Wow? Like what in the hell. So you know, here's a little bit of rundown of what happened too, and I'm not going to go like super deep in it, but I want to give you a quick rundown of how the court case ended up going. So he was in twenty twenty one, he appeared in before a judge, Judge Michael or Finger, for a detention hearing, and something I kind of thought was interesting there was this is the first time that he appeared to fight back tears when the judge formally charged him with at that point it was second degree murder, and he said the judge said, look, we're going to keep you in the juvenile detention center for twenty one days until the state attorney can make their decision if we're going to charge you as an adult or not. Well, CRIMI a fricking river, as justin timber Lake would say, right, crimea river. Because just a few days later he gets charged as an adult. They upgrade him also from second degree murder to premeditated first degree murder, and I think they nailed it. Now. He appears before a judge a few days later, and

48:38 following the announcement that he was going to be charged as an adult. That meant that Aiden, because he's a juvenile, it takes the death penalty off the table, but the charge would still carry a maximum penalty of life in prison and he would be held without bond. So later that year, and this was in twenty twenty one, in June, Aiden's mother, Crystal Smith, turned herself in because guess what she was. A warrant was issued for her arrest for evidence tampering because she washed those blue jeans, so she should have been so according to the arrest warrant, she washed the jeans Aiden was wearing when the deputy said he killed Tristan Bailey. And even worse than that was that she then tried to convince other people that he wasn't wearing blue jeans, he was wearing khakis. So she would enter a written plea of not guilty for evidence tampering. And then that was in twenty twenty one. But this year, a matter of fact, this month of twenty twenty three, May of twenty twenty three is when they actually come to the conclusion of what they're going to do with her. They finished the trial first, I'll get to that in a second. So they released the surveillance footage of the snapchat videos the state Attorney's office did. Everybody got to see that, and they also released the video of Mom scrubbing the blood from the jeans, so there'd be no question here. The state isn't railroading this kid, right, I mean he They all did what they you know, they all did what they were being accused of doing. And when Mom was questioned about why she did the blue jeans, this is a direct quote uphold from of her. Here's

50:13 the excerpt. As a mother, the love you have for your child is difficult to articulate to others unless they're a mother themselves. To be helpless to protect your child is a mother's worst living nightmare. To cope with such a loss as unimaginable. I grieve for the devastating loss of Tristan. I grieve for the subsequent arrest of my son, and I grieve for the irreparable agony inflicted upon the Bailey family as well as all other friends and families affected. Most of all, however, I grieve for Stacy Bailey as a mother. Now that was Tristan's mom, right, So her father, Forrest Bailey, responded and said, I question the sincerity of that statement. He followed up by saying, you've seen the videos from the home, You've seen the videos from the interrogation room. I would say, if she is sorry, she can start by accepting responsibility. And I think Dad's spot on right. You screwed up own it. So just this month, like I told you, May of twenty twenty three, Crystal was sentenced to thirty days in prison for her part in scrubbing the jeans, and once she is released from prison, she's going to be on probation for five years. Now. Tristan's mom got to speak directly to her in court, and this is part of what she said. Tristan's mom said, I wonder if you actually grieve the murder of our daughter by your son, or just that he was caught in his being held accountable. When you washed the blood, you didn't even know if Tristan was injured, dead, needing help or anything. You then lied about what

51:45 he was wearing that day. I cannot make you be an honest person, Crystal. Only you can do that, right. So back to the trial, though, Fuchi's defense did file four emotions, and one of those was they asked that they're not be camera's live streaming in the jury selection. Then the State's Attorney's office released dozens of emails that were sent to the school resource officer where he went to school, as well as Saint John Saint John's County Sheriff's Office investigators. And you know what, we see this over and over and over again. Schools know what kids are doing, we know how they're behaving, but nobody listens. Nobody listens. I don't understand why if he gets to the point that the SRRO of the school is getting notifications, there's a problem. That's the school resource officer, police officer. They believe that this was one hundred percent premeditated because of some of those those emails that we're going back and forth. Then Fuji's lawyers filed emotion because they wanted to have him removed from solitary confinement in the Duval County Detention Center. So, right, he's a victim. Now he's in solitary confinement. He's all by himself, kind of like Tristan's all by herself in her casket. But I digress.

53:05 Now, why would he be in solitary confinement. It could be behavior issues because he won't quit fucking up, or it could be because he's fourteen years old. They don't want him to be asked raped by a grown man who could actually handle up on him. Maybe if his parents would have handled up on him, he wouldn't have to be protecting his ass in prison, but that's where he is. So they want to try to get him out of solitary confinement. And I love this, Okay. Lawyers for the Sheriff's office comes back and they respond to that motion of trying to remove him from solitary confinement. And this isn't what they said. Fuci's rights were lost once he was indicted, and they added to that decision, and they added that those decisions are going to be made by the sheriff based on security, not buy an inmates wants, basically saying boys, sit down, No, we decide what's gonna happen to you. Shut up. Maybe if he didn't stab people to death, we wouldn't have to be worried about this. But anyway, in February sixth, twenty twenty three, Fucci does plead to the count of first degree murder and this is under Judge Arlee Smith, and he does accept that pleading Fuchi's two day sentencing hearing continued, and we got to hear from Tristan's family in this And I know I've put a couple of audios in here, but I want to put one more because this one really touched me.

54:23 There were seven witnesses that came forward, including Tristan's siblings and parents, all right, and one of the sisters, the oldest sister, her name is Alexis. She brought in an empty glass jar, and she brought in one hundred and fourteen teal stones. Now teal was Tristan's favorite color, but those one hundred and fourteen stones represented stab wounds. Now, y'all, she didn't just hold that jar and hold it up and say, look at these stab wounds. She actually took them one by one and dropped them in to the jar, and it hit just like it was supposed to, because every drop was a stab that that little girl had to endure. Every clink was that knife going through her skin, going into her head, the tip of the knife breaking off in her skull, her hurting and bleeding and crying out for help a one hundred and fourteen times. And the siblings came forward and said, you know, this was horrible as you could expect, But something that was also pretty neat was that one of Tristan's brother, her brother, came forward Tegan and he talked about how he would drive her to cheer practice and spoiler with her Starbucks drinks. And something I thought was really sweet was that he dropped one more stone in that jar in front of everybody, and he said he looked directly at Fuci and he said, I'm adding this one

55:55 stone to the jar. I add this stone for the hope and belief I had, for the good that people had that died when Aidan Fucci murdered my sister. Whenever he was being sentenced, Tristan's mom said, please consider everything he has done to our family. He's beyond saving. So finally, on March twenty fourth, twenty twenty three, Judge Arley Smith said this case is probably the most difficult and shocking case that this county has ever dealt with. And he said, you know, while you may have some potential for some rehabilitation, this crime is extraordinary. He said his behavior was so unusual compared to individuals his age, that there is a poor prognosis for rehabilitation, and He added that the crime was especially troubling because it had no motive. There was no reason, and this was his direct quote. This was not done out of greed. It was not done out of retaliation, retribution, or revenge. It was not even a crime of passion. It was not a crime that was committed because he felt rejected by her. It was not done in a fit of uncontrollable anger. There was no reason, There was no purpose. It was done for no other reason than to satisfy this defendant's internal desire to feel what it felt like to kill someone. And after that,

57:27 he sentenced Aiden Fucci to life in prison. I can't say that this ending is somehow like putting a beautiful bow, you know, and wrapping up a crime and giving it an ending that makes it better. I think that justice would be if Tristan was alive and he were dead, honestly, but that's not you know, that's not going to happen. And I guess the best we can hope for is that people still surround themselves in the memory of Tristan. I even had one caller reach out, of one listener reach out and tell me that the phone number that Tristan had is still a live working number. The parents kept it and that her friends and family are able to text it and feel like they're talking to her still, and they use it, you know, they use it as as a beautiful thing so that people can have closure, and closure is not a thing, but can move forward.

She could have grown up to be a mother and a wife and a you know, a doctor or a or a therapist or you know, any of that. But she'll never get the chance. And I just think that's horrific.
