4:06 Delete me. So this case I'm about to jump into is probably the largest case right now in the news today, and I know it's of interest because everybody in their mama has messaged me about it. So your wish is my command, and I'm going to tell this story for you, and I'm going to give you all the details as I normally do. So buckle up and let's take it on to Florida. And we're specifically going to be in Cape Coral, the home of thirty five year old Christine Melton. And that's Christine with a K to be specific. So she was raised in Illinois, but she moved to Florida with a friend of hers and she was working as a waitress at the time that this case took place. And she was someone who I liked old Christine. I liked learning about her. Her pet of choice was a cat.

4:55 She had her beloved cat, and her favorite holiday was Halloween. The fun of getting to dress up and be somebody that you aren't for a while is always fun. I'm also a fan of Halloween. I love it. We dress up in my family like as a ome as a group, so like I was Mortitia Adams and my daughter was Wednesday, and then you know, we went from there. But it was a lot of fun. And this was something that Christine loved too. She was someone who was very trustworthy, trusted enough to be named a godmother to one of her friend's children. Even though she didn't have children of her own. They knew that she would be someone that they could entrust their child to in the event that anything horrible ever happened to them.

5:36 And there was something. Beautiful about her soul that she was discussed as someone who was completely non judgmental. She was not someone who would point out people's flaws. She let them be themselves. She loved people for who they were and she let them just be. You know, a friend that just let you be yourself. And I think that's one of the greatest attributes that I've heard someone say about someone else. She did dream of being a mother herself. It was something that she was born to do, y'all. But she just hadn't met mister right yet. She certainly, and I feel this completely, she would have locked one down one day because she was a pretty woman. She dreamed big, and she was kind. But one of my favorite things about her is she was quick witted the chick. She was quick man. She could come back in a heartbeat on you, and y'all know everybody loves a funny woman.

6:28 That's always a plus, right, So for now, she didn't have a man, but she was doing her thing. She lived in a duplex, having fun, experiencing life, and she had this lighthearted view of the world, this fun loving approach, and she was just going to navigate it and live in the now, do what she. Could right now. She was lucky enough that she lived only four houses down from her mama, and she was very close with her mother. And the truth was that her mama needed her. She needed Christine's help because she was having the early stages of the onset of dementia and it was taking hold of her. So Christine loved being close to her mom.

7:09 She could keep an eye on her, and then she felt like if anyone was going to come and try to take advantage of Mama, she could be right there and protect her. And they were besties. Her mama could count on her not only to care for her and to look out for her, but they even had coffee together every single morning before Christine left for work. She was a dedicated daughter. She also had a brother. Christine had a brother named Robert, and Robert was also a loving caretaker of their mother and they kind of tag teamed taking care of mom. They had recently spoken on the phone and they were trying to work out and develop a plan for their mom's financial situation because with the dementia and the way that things were going, Mom had developed a habit of buying things that she didn't need, and it wasn't something that she could afford to do. She didn't have any extra income to play around with, and sometimes it was kind of pitiful. She would buy things like she bought Christine a workout machine, and she was trying to be helpful and loving. It just wasn't something that needed to be done. And so they were facing this difficult decision of having to tell their mom, look, Mama, you can't have any any credit cards anymore. And they were really worried about how they were going to handle this, but they figured, look, we'll get this figured out. In the meantime, Robert was heading to a resort for his birthday. He was with his fiance, and Christine was going to think on it and then they would rendezvous back together whenever Robert got back in town and they would go talk to their mom. So

8:40 a few days after their conversation about what to do with mom, it was October sixth, and this was twenty nineteen, Christine made plans and she was going to go out with her friend. The plan was just. Literally to decompress, to have some fun. They were going to listen to a band and have some drinks, and they were going to flirt a little bit if the mood struck them right. They didn't have a man, so let's go out and mingle and have some fun. The friend she was going to go out with was her bestie. Her name was Stephanie Johnson and the two of them were very close. So the plans for the night were to go to a bar called the Buddha, and this is in Fort Myers, Florida. Now, the Buddha was known for a good time, live music, and it was almost a guaranteed good night if you go to the Buddha.

9:21 Everyone knew this. And the two women arrived and they began drinking and mingling and having a good old time walking through the crowd, and eventually a tall, dark and handsome man would catch Christine's attention. Now, y'all know, I'm a woman. Okay, there's no bones about that. I am a woman. And when this guy approached her, she instantly was attracted to him. I've taken a look at him. I know a lot of ladies on the internet have taken a look at him, and the fact is that he's handsome. He was charming, and he was a big boy. You know the song I need a big boy, I need a big boy.

10:09 He was a big boy, y'all. He stood six foot six, two hundred and thirty pounds and maybe a little edgy. But he had neck tattoos all right. So it was interesting. He was an. Interesting guy, Okay, cool, no doubt. He probably wasn't the look of the guy that you would probably want to bring home to mom, but undeniably intriguing in the moment with the music playing and his chill attitude and his penchant for fun. The guy was edgy, okay. And he introduced himself as Jr. And from that moment the two were side by side. Now Jr. Also had another friend with him. His name was Jason Shepard, and so while Christine was focusing on Jr. Stephanie and Jason were chatting it up. There wasn't a connection or anything, no attraction between the two of them, but it was fun. It wasn't like there was a third man out. There was two on two. Then they could hang out and talk and dance and have fun. Now Jr. Was a little bit younger than Christine, he was only twenty seven years old.

11:12 But Christine was cool with it. She was like, whatever, dude's cute. He's a big guy, and I'm going to entertain this because I mean, after all, y'all, it was just for fun and what harm could it be. So throughout the night they're hanging out, they're talking, they're flirting, they're dancing. He's very Jr. Is very attentive to Christine. But eventually the bar was coming to a close and the minutes were counting down. They were all continuing to pound drinks, to dance, to flirt, but the Buddha was closing and eventually it was a last call. But the four of them, they were just having too much fun and they weren't ready to stop the party. I have had nights like that, so I know exactly what they were feeling. And so Jason invited them all to his house for a little more fun, and that fun included a little cocaine. Now there is a discrepancy at this point as to who actually used cocaine, but for sure Jr.

12:10 And Jason were doing bumps of the cocaine. No questions asked, if I had to describe Jason to you, I would say that he's kind of rough. He's not a thug by any means. I do not get a thug vibe from him. He's rough, as in someone who seems like he has low expectations in life. He likes to drink, he likes. To do coke, and truth be told, it's the fact that he actually was not a longtime friend of JR. Matter of fact, they had just met that night at the bar. Jason had invited JR. To go back and do some coke together, and that was really the extent of their friendship. They had just met that night, and they both like to do drugs. Christine didn't really know that, but it wasn't a big deal. It wouldn't have mattered any She wasn't looking for two best friends. It was just two friends and they were all hanging out. But something strange about it was that JR. Introduced himself as Junior to Jason, but JR to Christine. But I mean, hell, you know, baby, the Jay was short for Junior. Who knows, but he did introduce himself with two different names. Something else that was kind of odd was that the women were completely impressed with the vehicle that he had when they got outside of the club. The girls, when I say the girls, Christine and her friend Stephanie, they had caught an uber to the bar because they knew that they were going to be drinking that night, and they were responsible enough to know, Hey, we're going to be drinking,

13:41 we're probably to get treshed, so we need to get a ride to the bar. So when Jr. Said that they could ride with him to Jason's house to finish partying, they were impressed because they walked up with him to an eighty thousand dollars Hellcat as his ride. So not only was he big, not only was he tall and edgy, he must have money because he's driving an eighty thousand dollars hell Cat. Bad boy, handsome, edgy, hell fucking Yeah. So the women decide, let's do this, so they jump in the car, Jason jumps in the car, and off they went sorta And I say sorta because it kind of turned out that Jr. Couldn't drive a stick shift and the hell Cat was a stick shift and it was making hell a noise.

14:30 He was struggling to shift. He was struggling to even get it down the street. So they're all drunk and they're kind of like, what the hell, and so they brush it off. Maybe he's too drunk to drive the car. I don't know, But eventually they do make it to Jason's house. Although funny as hell he struggled so bad to drive it, but they made it there. It's kind of seeming to be a theme here. It's kind of funny. But last episode, I did remember the Dishman girl. She was invited to go move in with her new boyfriend, and it turns out it was his mind house. Who were kind of on the same vibe here because when they all went back to Jason's house, it turns out is actually his parents' house, even though he was a grown ass man, and the parents kind of got upset that they were there. But Stephanie and Jason they went outside on the patio, smoked cigarettes, chat and just kind of hang out for the night. And at some point Christine and Jr. They went for a more private experience together a more exclusive bedroom off to the side, and they were in the bedroom together being intimate, while Stephanie and Jason were outside on the patio now, at some point Christine and JR.

15:35 Did come out of the bedroom. They went on the patio. They talked a little bit and hung out with the other two, but then they went back to that bedroom for I guess, another round of shenanigans. So as the sun began to rise, it was time for them to leave Jason's house. They had kind of overstayed their welcome at this point, but JR. Was really digging Chris still even though they had been messing around, and she was having fun too, so She's like, look, we can leave and we can go back to my home in Cape Coral and you could just spend the night with us. I don't care. That's fine. Her friend would be with her too. She would be spending the night so in another room, of course, but there'd be the both of them going.

16:19 Back to the house. So they're like, cool, let's go now. JR. Accidentally left his cell phone back at Jason's, but when he went back to get it, Jason never answered the door. So Jr's like, whatever, I'll just I'll have to get it tomorrow or something, and so they move on to go to Christine's house again. JR. They're back in the same issue. Jr. Was struggling to drive the damn stick shift, and so they ended up leaving the car on the side of the road. They called an uber and the uber drives them back safely to Christine's house. So as the early morning hours broke and the three of them began to wake up, Stephanie was needing to get her son to school and then she had to go work a morning shot at the restaurant called Duffy's and she had to be there by ten am. So Christine actually worked at Duffy's as well, but she wasn't working that day so she could stay home and sleep in. So Stephanie went back and she double checked with Christine and she spoke to her and she said, look, are you okay with Jr?

17:16 Staying here alone with you? And Christine assured her, yeah, it's no problem, it will be fine. And Stephanie felt like, you know, and Christine knew each other well enough that if Christine was uncomfortable in any way, she would have told Stephanie, no, please don't leave, and Stephanie would have stayed. They were best friends. But all was well, and Christine they gave each other kiss on the cheek goodbye, said I'll I'll see you later, and Stephanie left the house. Later on, she would text Christine to check on her, but no text response immediately came back. Now, the same morning, another woman awoke on her friend's couch as well. And this woman's name, now, let me be back that up real quick. Another woman woke up on another friend's couch. Okay, it's a separate house, two separate women. But this woman's name was Melissa Montanez and her friends called her Mela. Mela was a pretty girl, pretty woman. She's got blonde hair, she's kind of tough.

18:25 She was a Navy veteran, and don't quote me on this. I'm pretty sure she served on a ship that was called the Eisenhower. But again, don't quote me on that, but I think that's what it was. After her time in the military, Mela would go on and she would become a business owner, opening up a spa, and she when you listen to Mila or you see Mila, she comes across as a good person and she tends to give people the benefit of the doubt, even if they don't deserve it. Case in point, the reason that she was sleeping on her friend's couch. That same night that Jr. And Christine and all her friends were staying at their house.

19:06 Was because Mela's boyfriend took her car and left her at the bar that they had gone to the night before. Thank god, her friend Amy saw her at closing time and found Mela drunk, just kind of like wandering around the parking lot of the bar, and she said, come with me. You can just stay with me and we'll find your car tomorrow. And she just didn't want anything bad to happen to her friend. Now. That next morning, Mela woke up on the couch and she had stuff that she had to take care of. First of all, she needed her car back. To be specific, Mela needed her hell Cat back. Yeah, figure that one out.

19:53 So as she grabbed her phone and she was waking up, she noticed that she had a ton of of missed calls from her boyfriend. There were also tons of voicemails too. She was so drunk she passed out the night that night before, so she never even realized that the phone was ringing. And when I say a lot of miss calls, y'all, I mean a ton, like back to back to back to back to back to back to back, and her boyfriend's name was Wade Wilson, and they had a very sketchy relationship history. It wasn't a long history, but it was a sketchy one. They had only been together for six months, and of that six months, he had been in jail for three of them. Why was he in jail, glad you asked? He beat up Mila in the past and he was arrested for it, but as his typical and domestic violent situations, she ended up dropping the charges because she just didn't want to deal with the court systems and it was just too much on her plate, so she ended up dropping the charge. He had still been in jail though, because he also had another charge for second a second degree felony stolen property combined with a driving on a second time suspended license, So his bond had been revoked and he was remanded back to the jail. So once he served his time, Mela went and she got him out, and this was on October

21:26 the first Remember the night that Mela and her boyfriend were at the bar was the sixth of October, so you're following the timeline. She went and got him out on October the first, so trying to help him out. She was letting him stay at her spa at night. She didn't want him to come to her house because she was afraid of him and didn't want him to hurt her, but she did still care about him, so she wanted to try to help him. So for the last couple of days they had been hanging out kind of rea reintroducing each other to each other. They were working out together at the spa, doing things like push ups, and he claimed to be a personal trainer because he was kind of fit.

22:09 And then when she was. Working, he would go with this guy that was a friend of his that was a bail bondsman, and they would go and work out at the park. He would go and take the dogs for a walk and just kind of spend his days doing whatever. For a few days after she got him out, things went well, but they quickly fell apart because he just went back to doing the same old shit. He wanted to go do drugs and he was wanting to sell them, and Mila was like. What the hell man. Matter of fact, Mila even. Was irritating, irritated with him at the time that they went out that night because they went to a gas station. She's standing there pumping gas into the vehicle and Wade gets out of the car and goes up to this random guy and scores dope. He just comes back to the car and he's gotten molly, the dope, the drug molly.

23:00 And she was surprised, like, how you've been in jail, you don't even know anybody, How the hell did you just go score drugs? Like what is going on? So they ended up going out that night that I was talking about, and so it kind of begs the question, so how had he gotten her car? And what had happened that night of the six that had now rolled into October the seventh, when she was without her car. Well, they too had decided to go to that Buddha bar that night, and they had started drinking patron at home while they were getting ready, and then once they got ready, they set out for the night to go listen to music and have some fun. They too went to the Buddha because there was a band playing that she wanted to hear, and she went with Wade as well as her friend Amy, and so they were having fun listening to the music. Wade was drinking michelob Ultra. He was very social, so he was all throughout the bar hanging out and talking to people, while Mila was more like sitting at the table listening to the music, hanging out with Amy Well. Wade then came back up to the table talking to Mela and said that he wanted to go to this house with this guy that he had met because it was a drug house and he wanted to go do some cocaine with this guy. And Mela looked at him and was like, no, I don't want to go do that. I'm not going to a drug house.

24:23 So he kept pushing and she said no, I'm not going. Well, he had her keys to the car, and so he just up and left her. Didn't say hi, by kiss my ass or anything. He just up and left her. But by the end of the night she didn't quite realize it. She was fuzzy because she had been drinking, and so she went outside into the parking lot and she did feel like she saw a group of people getting into her car and then driving away, but again she was intoxicated, so it wasn't registering exactly that he had left her. So she got her phone out and she called Wade, but he wouldn't answer the phone, so she texted him some pissy text messages like what are you doing?

25:08 Where you go in? What the hell? But Wade never answered her back. So that's when Amy found her, said come with me. I'll take you home, and she spent the night on the couch because he had taken her car. Now I already told you that. After she passed out on the couch, Wade blew her up all night, but she didn't answer. But at some point the phone calls changed and he began making calls from another number that was a no caller ID number that Miela didn't know. He usually would call from his phone and so it would show up in Mela's phone. He had programmed himself in her phone as husband. He thought highly he was her husband. But after about four am, that's when the calls shifted to a no ID phone number.

25:58 So Mia looks at this and she calls Wade back and he answered the phone, but he's kind of flip flopping and all over the place as to what is going on. So she's like, whatever, dude, just I want to meet you back. I need to get my car back. I have things I need to do, and so she agreed that she would meet him at the spa right and get the car from him there. But she low key was afraid because of remember, he had been in jail for the last three months and he had beat the shit out of her. So she asked Amy, will you drive me there and just make sure that the exchange goes well so that I can get my car, and Amy says, yeah.

26:40 I'll go with you. So when they arrive at the spa, Mila approaches him and is talking very sweetly to him, but she said she could clearly tell that he was very agitated from the get go, and he says, get in the car. Mila says, no, I'm not getting in the car, and out of nowhere, she is talking nicely to him, he says get in the car. As soon as she says no, I'm not getting in the car, he attacks and he grabs her through the window and starts a massive struggle and fight between the two of them. He grabbed her by her clothing, he had her hair, and he's attempting to rip her into the car basically through the window.

27:26 So as they're struggling, he is ripping so hard on her that her dress rips off in the fight, and he's starting to lose his grip of her because the clothing is coming apart. So he manages as he's holding onto her to get the door open and he gets out of the car, and he's still grabbing at her and slapping and punching, but he's so enraged as it's happening that he doesn't realize he forgot to put the car in park. So the car rolls forward and he is tackling Miela to the ground as the car continues to roll forward, and as he's attacking her, he's threatening to kill her at this point, bitch, I'm gonna fucking kill you. And he's just ripping and punching and slapping, and the car continues to roll forward, and the car eventually crashes into another parked car in the parking lot.

28:20 Now while this is happening, Amy the friend, is admittedly too afraid to intervene. She's shocked, and she's sitting there watching this happening and just helplessly seeing her friend get beaten, and it kind of strikes her as odd in the moment that as Wade had gotten out of the car, he didn't have a shirt on, and she realizes it looks like he had already been in a fight, because he had scratches all over his back, and he had no shirt on, and he had no shoes on, and he just looked like he had already been in a fight. So, like I said, he tackled Miela to the ground, and while they're fighting, the car grazes the both of them, and damn near rolls over both of them while they're struggling on the ground. And I find it important to tell you this. Meela is five foot two, maybe one hundred and ten pounds, and she's fighting this six foot six, two hundred and thirty pound man. He's punching her, slapping her, he's choking her, and eventually he gets her by her hair and by her arm, and he is dragging her across the pavement. So at some point Meela looks up and she looks into his eyes while she's fighting what she feels like is for her life, and she thinks to herself, my god, there's nobody even behind those eyes anymore.

29:43 There's no reasoning with him. She hadn't even said anything ugly, and he's trying to kill her and he's telling her, bitch, I'm about to fucking kill you. But she's able to get loose from him during the struggle, and there is this building beside her spa and it's like this two story building, and she's able to run, and she runs up the staircase onto that second floor trying to get away from him. And by this time it's got people's attention. People are watching. They're not necessarily helping in the moment. They're more stunned as to what the hell is going on. We got a car crash and a guy beating the hell out of this little woman right here, and he catches up with her like something out of a scary movie, y'all.

30:25 He runs bounds up those stairs and he catches up with her. He grabs her, and he shoves her up into the wall and clothes fist, rears back and smokes her. He punches her square in her mouth. And at that point, another woman, this woman's name is Shanna or shawna Williamson, cute, little blonde, real put together woman. This woman decides she's seen enough, so real quick. This Williamson lady. She works at a design studio that is the parking lot where the car had crashed into another car. And it turns out the car that it had crashed into when it rolled was this woman's car. Okay, so she had more of a vested interest I guess, to get involved. So the car crash, the fender bender had caused all this commotion.

31:19 Everyone's attention was on it, and so the women that worked in the design studio they locked the doors and were like, oh my god, this guy's gonna kill this girl. But Miss Williamson was having none of it. So she unlocks the door and she goes rolling out, and when she gets outside, she puts her eyes on this big guy choking and punching this small young girl. And Wade is shirtless. He's very aggressive, and like I said, he had at this point, when Miss Williamson comes out, Wade has Meela off the ground by her throat into the window, beating the hell out of her, screaming he's gonna kill me, and she's trying to get help from somebody. She's off the ground, so Miss Williamson starts screaming at him, get off of her, get off of her. Stop stop, And in that moment, she starts yelling at Wade, his attention turns away from Mila for that split second and he starts yelling back at miss Williamson, You're gonna love this.

32:19 She hit me first, like he's ten years old. But that instant taking away of the attention, Mila was able to struggle away from him and get away. She runs back down the stairs, and the women in the design studio see her, unlock the door, let her in, and then lock the door back. And at that point Wade comes running down the stairs. Realizing that everybody's seeing what's going on, he jumps back in the car and he drives off. Now, something I'd like to point out to you is the car that Wade was in wasn't the hell Cat, which is weird. It was a black Nissan Versa and he'd a known one. So where was the hell Cat and why was he in this Nissan Versa? Well, I want to back up for a second and tell you that this wasn't the first time Wade had hurt Mila.

33:13 Like I told you a little while ago, that first incident when he hurt Mila, he choked her and he beat her, but he also took her in that first time, tied her hands behind her back and commenced to raping her for six hours. When he was arrested and put in jail. Even a person that Wade was in jail with called her from jail and said, dude, you need to listen to me. You can't get back with this guy. He's gonna end up killing someone. And I know that if this is not the lifestyle that you live, then this is probably hard to understand, like what is she doing?

33:54 Why would she do this? But we are in a clusterfuck right now, y'all of domestic violence, loving somebody and maybe used to dating bad boys, and so this wasn't maybe something new to her, And you've got to look at things through the lens of the person experiencing it, not necessarily your own lens that you have lived through. Matter of fact, not. Only had this person called to warn Mila, Wade always claimed to Mela in those first three months that they were together that he was a killer. But Mela just thought it was like big talk, you know, a young guy a little younger than her making himself out to be a tough guy. And it kind of made me think of that Jack Harlowe song like I'm Vanilla Baby, I'll choke you, but I know killer baby, like like like I'm an edgy dude, but I don't actually kill people, is how Mela kind of took it. He even told her one time when they were talking and drinking, that he was a hitman, and again she thought that he was just bullshitting, like talking big time, like, oh well, I'll hurt people or something. He claimed that he was paid thirty five thousand dollars to kill a man's wife, but like he never went through with it, and so he always thought that this man was going to come after him. He bragged openly. He said, oh yeah, I've slashed people's throats, I've tied them up. Another time he said, oh yeah, I've gutted people. He said, I gutted someone and I threw them in a lake, and then kind of laughed and was like nobody, no crime.

35:21 You know what I'm saying. But everyone just thought he was talking big shit. They didn't believe him, and like most of us, when you love somebody, it's really hard for you to believe that they are capable of such atrocities. And that's where Mela was. She thought he was just talking shit. Certainly, Wade had hurt Mila, there's no doubt there, but in her mind he was no killer. That's just not what he was going to do. She was, however, tired at this point of the abuse, and now she's mad now that this whole thing has gone down and he's got her car. She wanted her eighty thousand dollars vehicle back and he needed to be held accountable for hurting her again. And she was pissed, I mean, especially after all she had done for him for the last six months, supporting him while he was in jail, sending money, giving him a place to stay whenever he got out.

36:16 But Mila was done at this point. She was pissed, so she. Called police and she made a report for this incident shortly after it happened. So an officer, his name was Timothy McCormick. He showed up to the SPA and that building that she had run upstairs to, which was on West first Street, and when he got there, he took notes of what had happened, and he was getting all the information from everyone who had witnessed it, and he then passed that off to another officer while he got in his vehicle, and then he drove around patrolling the local area trying to find him, but he never did. He was never able to put his eyes on Wade. No worries though they're gonna get him eventually, they just weren't able to find him right then at that second in the moment. So once all of that kind of wrapped up and the police left and the report was made, Mela and Amy, as well as Mela's roommate, a guy named Glenn, which he kind of was smitten with Mela, but she was not interested in Helm, but he was a roommate and kind of looked out for her. They all went to a place called Blue Sushi, and this was just kind of because their nerves were shot. They wanted to relax and kind of talk through what had just happened, maybe have a drink or something. Well, while they're there, Wade calls Mela again and she does answer, but this time she answers it on speakerphone, and her friend Amy was smart enough to hit record on her cell phone, and so she starts recording the conversations that

37:48 were going on between Mela and Wade, and he's flip flopping between I love you and I'm gonna kill you you'll never see the hell cat again, bitch, and then just come meet me. And it's like back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. But he also kept adding that he had something he needed to tell her and he needed to tell her in person, and then he would say something like I just want to kiss your forehead. I just want to I want to make things better. But she was like, no, I don't want to come meet you, Wade. I'm scared of you. Look what the hell you just did to me? Are you kidding? And so he starts begging and he says, I'll do whatever you want so you won't be scared. I'll lay on the ground like I'll lay on the ground so you can come up to me. I'll strip button naked, I'll do whatever makes you comfortable. Classic gaslighting, acting like you're the bad guy because you won't go meet him.

38:41 And then he says, quote, do you remember what I wanted to do to Tommy? Do you remember? Well? I did that last night and now I'm on the run. So I have to give you a little more background information so you'll understand the statement. Basically, Mila used to date a guy named Tommy and they broke up, he moved to Marathon Island and he was going to work with what I understand to be the Deadliest Catch crew. I'm not one hundred percent on that. She just kept saying to work with the Deadliest Catch. And that's where Tommy met Wade, and they first became friends at that job, but then they started kind of hanging out more outside of work, and that is how Mela met Wade. It was through Tommy. Tommy specifically asked Wade, look, man, please don't hook up with Mela. I can tell there's an attraction there, but I still love her, I still have feelings.

39:42 Please don't hook up with my ex girlfriend. But Wade did it anyway. So if you want to see bro code in action not in action, there it is. So a police report would be the next thing to come. Because when Tommy found out that Mela and Wade were hooking up, Tommy showed up with brass knuckles and tried to beat the shit out of Wade and tried to beat down the spa door where Wade was with Mela. Tommy was so mad he ended up slashing Mela's tires and ever since then there was an ongoing beef. So I would just like to say on record that I think Mila's picker is broken, and I hate that for her, because Mela seems like a good person.

So whenever he was saying, remember what I said I wanted to do to Tommy, Remember, well I did that last night and I'm on the run. It's because he was threatening to kill Tommy and now he's saying he did that last night. The thing was Tommy was alive, so what the hell was he talking about. So, realizing that Wade was completely out of control, Mela agreed to meet him at the Joe's Crabshack across the highway from the Salon or the Spa. But this time Mila wasn't really going y'all. The police were contacted and they were tipped off that the guy that had been involved in the battery earlier was gonna be parked out front.

41:14 Of Joe's Crabshack. So police follow up on that lead and they pull in to the Joe's Crabshack parking lot, and there they do find a shirtless Wade Wilson sitting in the black vehicle, just like. The tipster said he would be. So they go up to him, and there are body cam videos of this, and I'll post those on Patreon for you. They're not my record's request, I mean, they're just all over the internet, but I'll post them on there for easy finding. But there's body cameras cam out there video that shows this, and those are standard in most in a lot of places. Well, when body body cams the way they work real quick.

When the officer walks up and he knows he's about to have an incident or an interaction with a citizen, he can press the button on the body cam and it can start recording. Or when the lights on their police unit are flipped on, then the camera can automatically activate in that instance as well. So bodycam starts and the officers approach him and talk to him. He stays seated in the vehicle, though they're like what do you do when he says, oh, I'm just waiting on my girlfriend, But he won't roll the window down all the way. Funny, he rolled it down all the way whenever he went to meet with Mila and beat the shit out of her. But when another man walks up and it's law enforcement. He only cracks the window a little bit, so he says, I'm just here to meet my girlfriend, and the officer says, okay, that's no problem. Can you go ahead and step out of the car for me, And he starts asking why, and the officer says, look, man, I'm only detaining you.

42:51 You are not under arrest. I just need you to step out of the car so we can talk about something. And Wade acts completely just well, what are you talking about? Right, He's just totally put out by this. He can't understand why this officer might want to speak to him, and so the officer then blankly says, look, man, you were believed to be involved in a battery earlier, and Wade says, nope, it wasn't me. And so the. Officer's like, okay, if it wasn't you, that's fine. I need you to just step out of the vehicle and talk to me. Well, Wade had started the conversations with that police officer in a very non aggressive yes, sir, yes, sir.

43:31 Excuse me, sir. What are you talking about, sir, sir? I haven't done anything wrong, sir. He's got this real chill demeanor right until that officer tells him to. Step out of the vehicle. Well, Wade won't get out of the car, and the officer, unbeknownst to Wade, was actually waiting on a cop that was on a bicycle, a bike cop to be riding up so that they could both kind of work what they thought was about to be a more serious situation. And the officer even votes, look, man, let's not have any problems. Just get out of the car and we can talk until my partner gets here. And that's when Wade. Who's starting to be vocally com combative, basically just rolls the window up. The officer remains calm, but he says, turn off the car and hand me the keys.

44:19 Do it now. He becomes a little bit more, you know, stern with it. And it's one of those situations where the suspect claims that they weren't resisting. I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything. Yet every single freaking verbal command that the officer gave the guy won't come. He's not compliant with it. That's called non compliance. Okay, I didn't do anything. I didn't do anything. Right in that moment when he realizes that the officer is becoming super stern with him. He rolls the window back up and puts the car in drive and drives off. The officer is screaming command stop, stop, stop. Wade does not, and he tears off. Officer John back in the vehicle and radio z in, hey he's running.

45:03 He's now run a stop sign. The issue became that this chase that was started was happening during lunchtime. There was a lot of people on the road, and you have to understand at this point the officer really only had a misdemeanor battery at that moment, and so the chase that was starting to take place wouldn't have met the muster of dangerousness. It wouldn't have met the muster of making it that dangerous to go in this high speed chase through traffic during a heavy lunchtime situation. Now, if Way had pulled the gun out and started shooting or something, okay, that changes it a little bit. But this right now, all they have with this battery report, and the life and safety of the community is always priority.

So the officer decided to win the battle and the war, and he wanted to do this without hurting the community, so he calls off the chase. So they called the chase off, and they're just kind of gonna try to find him the best way that they know how in another capacity. But another person who knew Wade was about to get a phone call from him, and his name was Stephen Testaseco. Now Stephen works as a window and door replacement guy. He's married.

The thing is that Stephen was Wade's biological father, but Steven was only fourteen years old when he impregnated Wade's mom, who was like thirteen years old, and they realized that they could not be parents to this child. So Stephen and the mom had placed Wade up for adoption, and he was adopted by Candy and Steve Wilson. So that's why he's Wade Wilson. And they have two other children. They have two other daughters, but they adopted Wade and they loved their son. So they didn't have a long conversation and they hung up. A little while later, another call came into Biodad Steven's cell phone, but this time it was from a detective, and it was a detective that was trying to get in touch with Wade. So why had Wade called him say I need to talk to him about a fight with Mila, and now we've got a detective calling me to talk to me about Wade. Well, the reason the detective had called Wade's bio dad is because after Wade hung up with his bio dad, Wade then showed up at a place called Mateo's Graphics, which is where another friend of his work named Josh lukage. So when Wade got there, he pulls onto the property and there's, uh, there's security.

But Wade pulls up on the property and then he backs in and he gets out of the car and he wants to talk to Josh, but Josh was dealing with a customer at the moment, because you know, everybody else has a job, Wade, and so he says, dude, you're gonna have to wait a minute. I'm I'm with a customer. I've got to I've got to finish this. So afterwards, when he finishes with the customer, he goes out there to the shirtless, shoeless Wade, and Wade is kind of all over the place and he's telling Luke Lukage, mister Lukage that look, I've got to get a plane ticket or a bus ticket or something. I need help because I've got to get out of here. So Josh Lucage is looking at Wade kind of assessing what's going on, and he notices that not only is Wade blood, but he's missing some teeth. He only has on sweatpants, there's no shirt. He's frantic. He's pacing back and forth, and he's getting real close to Josh, and so Josh looks at him and he's like, bro, I mean, I can't help you with that. I don't have any money to give you for a plane ticket. And that's when Josh kind of gets crazy and was like, no, you don't understand, Josh.

50:22 I killed people last night and I need to get out of town. I need a ticket. Well, Josh, just like all the other friends, he didn't freak out at first when when Wade was saying all of this, but then the more that Wade spoke, he kind of started to believe him, just because of the way that he looked, the condition of his body and what he was saying. And then Wade says, yeah, I killed people, and one of them I rolled up in some bedding. So Luke looks at Wade at this point he goes, okay, bro, I'm calling nine one one, Like what the fuck. Man. As soon as he says I'm gonna call nine one one, what is going on here? Wade takes off, but he takes off on foot. He leaves the vehicle, which was that black Nissan Versa in the parking lot, and he just takes off in a neighborhood behind the business on foot and leaves. And then Josh does exactly what Josh says he's gonna do. He calls nine to one one.

51:20 So the officer. Arrives and they go look in this vehicle after Josh says what Wade had told him, and they see blood on the passenger side. Of the door of the vehicle. Now, because of what we would call an exigent circumstance, we've got blood, we've got a car that doesn't belong to him. In wait to set he killed somebody. The police break the window and immediately pop the trunk to the car because they're really worried that there's someone in the car who needs help right now. So they pop the trunk and then they go to the back and they lift open the trunk, but what they find is an empty trunk. There's a sigh of relief in the moment. But whose car is this? So they get in the car and they use the documentation from the vehicle to identify the vehicle owner as none other than Christine Melton. They tried calling Christine, but there was no answer, so the police towe the car to the police station for processing. The police also head over to Christine's address to check on her, and when they arrive, she won't answer the door. So, again, considering the circumstances, the police make entry into her duplex and what they come across is a heartbreaking scene. It's very obvious that they're looking at a woman who has fought valiantly for her life. Yet she lay in the hallway between her bedroom and her kitchen, and she's cold, and

52:53 she is stiff after putting up an absolute fight for her life, and guess what, she's wrapped in bedding from her home. As they unroll her, they find that she's tied with her own shirts and leggings and a swimsuit top that were fashioned to tie her up. Her face was black and blue, her fingernails were broken, and she had marks all around her neck. And the feeling of oh my god, we're too late. I know it had to have passed through the room as the officers took in the full gravity of this fight that had taken place through through this house.

This was vile and absolutely brutal in every aspect of the word. The man who introduced himself as Jr. And was down for a night of fun was in fact Wade Wilson, a dangerous felon who pretended to be caring and thoughtful to get into the unsuspecting Christine's pants with every intention of brutalizing her when the moment was right. And that moment came when her friend Stephanie left them alone together in the apartment that morning. Stephanie had no way of knowing this, but Christine's death certificate was signed the moment she exited the duplex. Stephanie had continued to call and text her friend Christine that afternoon, but she never got an answer.

But then I heard my cousins in the background, and that's when I realized this probably was not a mistake, and Robert was right. Miela was beat up, Christine was dead, and Wade still on the loose. But there would be more carnage yet to be uncovered, and Wade Wilson would be responsible for irreparable damage to more families as the hours passed by. So as you can imagine, this is gonna have to be a two part series because I cannot do it all in one episode. Wade thinks he's a bad boy and that he can get out of town after everything that he's done, but I'm gonna tell y'all, it won't be that easy because good people, even some people that he calls friends, are gonna play a role in this game that Wade's not gonna win.
