It went well, and then Jim sent me a link to a site that said that Unspeakable is the number one true crime podcast in Louisiana. And I'm on cloud nine right now. I'm feeling great and it's all because of you people. So I hope you really enjoy this episode, and I hope you're just having the best day because I'm just having a fantastic day. And this case is going to take us out to South Carolina. Where are my South Carolina people? I'm in your neck of the woods.

1:31 This one is going to be taking place in twenty fourteen, and it's gonna be Christmas Eve. So there's two friends that decided to go out for the evening. And they weren't dating or anything like that. I want to be clear. They were just friends. They were heading out for a night of fun and relaxation. Their names were They were forty three year old Mary Fowler and forty four year old James Dobson. And James had just gotten a new car courtesy of his parents, and so he was going to be for the evening. He liked this car. It was nice. It was a twenty thirteen Hyundai Elantra. Now that will come into play. That's why I'm being so specific about the car. And y'all, these were your average everyday people, okay, regular jobs. I didn't have a ton of information on the both of them, y'all know, I go out of my way to find out about these victims.

2:21 I can tell you that Mary was a pretty lady. She had curly brown hair. There were limited photos of her, but she just seemed to be a nice lady. And James was your average run of the mill worker, just good salt of the earth. People, and they were going out for some honest fun and have a good time. It was cold outside and there was like this really strong chill in the air as the two were driving along and chatting, discussing their plans for the evening and just doing what friends do. And like I said, it was Christmas Eve, so they had that cheer with them of the holidays, and it was hard to ignore, you know, because it's just a happy time during the holidays. And since it was Christmas and it was cold and it was the most wonderful time of the year, they decided to be kind to someone because of all of the joy of the evening. But the two of them wouldn't make it home for Christmas morning before a nine to one one call would come in to the local police Anderson emergency. Yes, yes, Leah and le are on eighty five sounds. Someone's playing on the side of earth. They've been shot. Yes, your brain that might chelling for our help, Okay, even a lot of things.

3:40 Nurse two people in her person, the star who's shut. So as you heard that caller happened upon these victims and they were just laying on the side of the road. It was like six fifteen in the morning while they were traveling. This traveler was going between mile markers sixteen and seventeen on I eighty five in Anderson County, And that's kind of strange that early in the morning for there already to be some drama happening. Their bodies were located, specifically on the southbound shoulder of the interstate, and that's when that motorist happened upon them and stopped to render aid. It was crazy. It wasn't just one person, it was two, and it turns out it was the bodies of Mary and James. So police arrived to find no vehicle, there was no weapon. The police really had no idea what was going on. So while no weapon was found at the scene nor the surrounding areas where they looked around, it was readily obvious that both victims had been shot.

4:38 Mary had been shot in the head once, just one time, and James had been shot in the head multiple times. So ambulances were called and the two were picked up and they were transported immediately to the local hospitals because amazingly, both of them still had a pulse when they were found. Immediately they were treated for their wounds They tried to repair them as best as possible, but unfortunately, Mary would succumb to her injuries later that evening. James, though, was still clinging to life, but he was on a respirator, He was heavily sedated, and he was going to need a lot of care to remain living. He was moved into a critical care area and his chances of survival were really uncertain as far as doctors were concerned. And the police really had no leads and they didn't have anyone to ask about what may have happened. There was no one there, There was no one around, so they began chasing down leads, which would begin with the fact that James's vehicle was missing and obviously someone had to have taken it. So when they figured out and they got in contact with James's family, they mentioned, yeah, he took the car for the night. The car's gone. That's going to be boomed. Their first lead that they're going to go down. So a bolo of be on the lookout was issued and it went out over the airwaves for all the officers that were in the area to keep their eyes peeled for a light colored Hyundai Elantra.

6:06 The police went and they questioned James's parents, but the parents really had no idea what had happened. They couldn't give any clue as to who would have done this, And whenever the police mentioned that he was with a friend named Mary Fowler, they didn't know her. They couldn't even identify who that was, and they certainly did not have any information on what the extent of their relationship was, and so they were really not much help. So, you know, but James was an adult, you know, It's not like they're going to know every single relationship that he had. But what they did know was that they were on their knees and that they were praying with all of their might that their son may survive this horrific incident.

6:46 Six days would pass and nothing would break in the case. The car was missing, Mary was dead, and James was still in critical condition. During that time, however, the mother of a seventeen year old girl three hundred miles away in Georgia was horrified at a situation that took place at her home. She was at the house when a man showed up and was trying to get her daughter, trying to take her daughter. The mother didn't know who he was. She didn't understand why he was at her house, and she was completely alarmed that he had made entry into their home. So she began yelling at this guy, saying, you better get out of here, Get out of my house.

7:34 You have two seconds to get out of here or I'm calling the police. That's when this man just nonchalantly walks to the back door and he opens it. And as he opens it, he turns to this mother and says, and this is a quote, we can either do this the easy way or the hard way, and then he closes the door behind him. He then made his way to the front of the house and he started yelling, I'll wait for five minutes in the front for you. So the mom's tripping. She doesn't know what's going on. Who is this guy, Why does he want my daughter? And so she made a call to the police, and so luckily a deputy was nearby and he showed up pretty quickly. As soon as the deputy showed up, the man kicked bricks. He left, you know, thinking that this was scary, obviously, but over the family locked their doors.

8:25 They went about their business, and I'm sure that involved things like talking to their daughter about safety and about strangers, and about you know this, This was a close call. This could have been really bad. But five days later, that mom's nightmare came true again when this same man appeared. She found him lurking around their house when she happened to pull up from work that day. But this time, Mama Bear wasn't fucking around. She watched as that creeper noticed she pulled up. He ran, He jumped in his car, and he sped away. But like I said, Mama Bear was ready to engage. She threw that car and reverse.

9:07 She backed out of her driveway and she tore out after this man, and the chase was on. She chased this man's vehicle and she tailed his ass at speeds of ninety to one hundred miles an hour. She was right on him, trying to catch this guy. But at some point, once they got to those really really high rates of speed, she realized this is just getting out of control. This is way too dangerous, and so she decided to break off the chase, and she pretty much lost him. This mother was dumbfounded as to what was going on and who was this stranger that kept coming to her house. Well, the very next day, a deputy by the name of Deputy Coward. That's unfortunate, but Deputy Coward.

9:53 He was with the Anderson County Sheriff's Office. He was patrolling in the Belton area, which was a town over from where those original shootings had occurred of Mary and James. So he was on duty. It was about ten thirty in the morning when he saw what he thought was that bolo vehicle that he had heard on that announcement days earlier. So he stopped and did what a good officer would do, and he decided to investigate. And when he got to the vehicle, he found that it wasn't unoccupied. There was actually an unknown white male in the vehicle. So he approached it and he ran the plates and guess what he verified it was stolen. This was that stolen vehicle he was absolutely looking for, and this guy inside obviously had possible involvement in a murder and an attempted murder. So he asked for the man's ID and the guy gave it to him and identified himself as twenty two year old John Villarreal. Now John was kind of a dorky looking fella. He had a really thin, kind of long face, non threatening looking fella, tall, skinny like literally right now, start singing mbop you know, mumbob bye.

And I want you to think of that older brother when they were young and he had that ponytail on the back and you're literally getting the essence of what John Villheil looks like. So, considering he was in possession of a car that was thought to be involved in this shooting incident and then the ultimate dumping of these bodies, he was taken into custody with no incident. He didn't fight or anything like that. So photos were taken of the vehicle. Off posted these photos and patreons so you can take a look at him. And the car looked to be pretty clean. It has tan interior, it's very deep, neat, very tidy. There's only a doctor pepper, you know, sitting in the cup holder until the doors were completely opened. And once the doors were opened then you could see the sides of the seats where there was clearly a really large dark red stain on the seat portion of the passenger side near where your thigh would be resting if you were sitting in the seat, and it looked like it had been wiped up, and this was basically a remnant stain on the vehicle. There was no coagulated blood or tissue or anything like that. So the police had a further inventory of the car and what they found was a Walter twenty two semi automatic pistol with a laser sight attached on the floorboard. This was obviously interesting to the police officers because this was the same caliber weapon that was used to shoot both of the victims that were on the side of the road. Also, they found a vest

12:37 with a name tag on it that said Jack, and so I do have photos of that as well, and it looks to be a Walmart vest like the greeters wear, and Jack was James's nickname, and that was found in the car. So I mean, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out, yep, this is the car and that's James's things that are in the car. So while this certainly said, you know, man, this looks like he shot the two people, it wasn't anything close to solid proof. Circumstantial sure, but not beyond a reasonable doubt proof, nothing close enough to put handcuffs on him and say that, you know, you've killed these people. So John Villarel was brought in for questioning immediately after he was arrested, and his account of things was that a friend had let him borrow the car. So police continued to ask questions, but John really just couldn't answer them. He didn't know the answers to what they were asking. He was completely as clueless as everybody else that didn't know what had gone on in this case. And he was questioned for two hours and continually expressed, I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know what yours. I borrowed this car.

13:49 A friend let me borrow it. I can't assist you in any other way than to let you know that I borrowed the car. So police kept asking more questions, us didn't get anywhere, and with nothing else to hold him on other than the fact that he had been in possession of a stolen car, he was released. So the police were really exhausted for the day. You know, it had been a long day. They were about to leave and they were packing up for the end of the day, and that's when they started hearing banging on the door outside of the station, like someone banging on the door to let them in, so kind of confused, they go and they open the door and they look and none other than John Villerel was standing there. Now, it had been two hours since they had cut him loose after his interview. It was now six thirty in the evening, and so they're looking at him kind of confused, like what's up. And now he's saying he wanted to come back in and talk more to detectives. The police were honestly aggravated at this point, and we're telling him, look, dude, you gotta go. You know you're not talking to us, you don't have anything to add, and we're not going to go round and round and round saying the same shit.

14:59 It's not getting anywhere, it's not helping anything. And he says, no, this time's going to be different. I've got more I want to tell you. All right, if that's the case, come on in. So they bring him into the interrogation room and they start recording. Now, do you remember if you're one of my listeners that listens in order. If not, you're not gonna know what I'm talking about. But if you are, do you remember a few episodes ago how one of the killers agreed to talk to police, but only if he could record it. And it was strange, like, what do you mean you'll talk to police only if you can record it. It's just an odd request. Well, you know, let me introduce you to strange guy number two. In that John tells the police very matter of fact.

15:44 I want to record a copy of this sent to my family. But you know, like just flat out and he's very direct, and his tone is almost condescending the way he says it to them, and then he starts talking. Rather than explain it to you, I want you to hear him tell it in his own voice. In this audio from his interview, I'm not here. For a question answercession. I'm here to tell you what happened. Lad, My managements turned over. Well, I'm going to tell you is going to make your shaw drop fro it. Let's go back to the night before Christmas Eve. I get a message from my girl telling them that her stepdad has been beating her, etc. So me, I jumped, and I said, if I could steal a car and come down there right now and get you out of there and get you somewhere safe. I said, what do you do it? She said, yes, I expected that. When I got down to her place, I expected, I'm going to pull it down, okay, And I expected at that point to go ahead and just back everybody in there and try not to think of that. That's what happened with fig More. I don't don't heard anybody originally. Well, they were rolling along down the Fletcher Street. In fact, when

17:15 I came across and had my pack in my back of my rainsuit still on, kept in my head, asked them if they could take me diety five. He said, do you have some gas money? He said, you know how much? You don't want? Five bucks? I said, okay, five bucks in the car. The man the one, don't know any names, don't remember the hair, but I hope he survives, to be honest with you, now, I got in that car and we started going. They were as nice as anything, and the man offered to take me to the Georgia line. He said he had the time to do it, so you do it for twenty five bucks in gas money. Reasonable enough, somebody, He said this, were you already in the car. The car we're going down at eighty five. At that point, as we were driving down the road, I got to a point where I was ready to try to commentate the car, and you know what I told him. I to take a leak, asked him to pull over. Classic move. I never suspected it.

18:24 You know what, in the moment, I presumed the man was armed. As a result, I didn't try to commentate the car, but I assumed. Okay. I didn't even give him a chance to show a gun. You remember sitting here, ripping front of me, head rests in between. I said, in the left passenger seat, passengers here, the first thing you do, did you take in the first thing? You just tell yourself, don't think about it, don't feel because you can't do it if you think, because you wrong and you take aim perfect him pump one in the head of her here slumps over before the bank can react.

19:12 I screwed over quick boot, I missed. I hit his neck. Now I put three hounds right in his neck because I was trying to hit the head. But I was trying it of truped too quick because I wanted to get it done. Didn't really want to shoot it, didn't really want to do it, and I did. For two days after head I prayed for that man to survive because once I realized that I'd hit him the neck. I realized he might survive. I kept praying, and I kept praying for forgiveness. The thing is, Lord can't get forgive us if you don't if you don't tell the truth, if you lie about it, you're going to hell. What in the world did you hear what he said about those two victims on the side of the road, I quote, don't know who they are and don't really care.

20:02 What a fucking asshole at minimum? Who says that? Like who says that? Who comes in to confess basically and then says I don't know who they are and I don't really care, like you're some kind of macho man or something. In his mind. His explanation of events was basically that he was in some way this night and shining armor or heading to go, you know, save a girl. But he completely disregards the life of two other people as if you know, his intentions were pure, and it somehow almost excuses the murder and attempted murder of two people because he feels like he's going to be a savior of some sort. It's beyond understanding. And this is where a lot of people who tell this story. Leave it.

20:51 They're like, slam bam, thank you, ma'am. You know that's what happened. He came in, here's the confession, and like it's just that simple, and it's wrapped up in this nice, pretty little bow. But then there's me, and I'm someone like you probably I want the truth. I want the whole truth. I want all of the details. And I know this for a fact that people who confess usually leave out parts because it doesn't make them look really good. This wasn't just some hero plan to save a girl from an abusive relationship or something. No, there was much more to this. See. His plan was to return to Georgia to complete what he called a quote wet extraction on an unsuspecting family. So I do not ever claim to be a know at all, and I wanted to know more information about this, so I consulted with some of my military friends and some people in my family that are military, and all of them pretty much told me the same thing, that a wet extraction would involve going to get someone that would involve water or a waterway in some fashion. And I'm like, well, I don't really understand that. Then why would he say that maybe he's just ignorant, you know that he would call it that.

22:09 But then my stepdad, who is a marine Simper five, he and I were talking about it. He called me because I had posted something about it, and he said the same thing. He was like, yeah, I mean, it's usually whenever we would go do an extra wet extraction in Vietnam, you know, it'd be water involved whatever. But then he kind of muttered something under his breath and I it caught my attention because he said, I mean, or it could just be that someone thinks something's going to be really bloody, and I was like, wait what, and he said, I mean it could also be like the slang way of saying that there's going to be a lot of bloodshed when you go to get somebody. And that's when it was like bingo, Okay, I get what he's saying and why he called it that. It says, Aha, moment, this prick is trying to say that his wet extraction is going to be a super bloody event with tons of violence. Y'all. This guy's a friggin nerd. He gives complete and total Columbine Shooter vibes. If you look at him.

23:07 He's bony and geeky. He's not rico suave with the ladies. He's got like this gamer thing going on. This guy who who thinks that his skills on grand theft, auto and military games actually make him like a real operative with actual skills at extractions. That's the essence of what this guy feels like to me. The more I listened to him speak, this wasn't about water. This was about bloodshed, and he was intrigued with causing a lot of damage and a lot of suffering, and he wanted the blood to flow. His thoughts were as if he was this military man on a mission that required him to be violent. Okay, but why, Like, I need to know more about this.

23:51 Why and what for? What is this great obsession with this violence? What would cause you to put bullets in the back of strangers heads? Why? So real quick, I don't even know if I mentioned this. You know, they had pulled over because they saw him walking on the side of the road on Christmas Eve. Mary and James felt sorry for him, and they decided to do a good deed on Christmas Eve and offered to give him a ride so he wouldn't have to walk that is how they came to encounter this guy. So what could possibly motivate you to put bullets in strangers heads who are doing you a favor and being kind to you? And y'all, it is the age old motivator and the answer is sex. See it turns out mister Mann here had an online girlfriend who he felt needed to be rescued from her home. His plans he was gonna go kill the stepfather, kill this girl's mother, and kill her older brother in an ambush. Thank god that he was caught before this ever could happen, But that doesn't undo what Mary and James had been through.

25:14 And y'all, it also wasn't just a girl. It was an underage girl, that's right, The young girl that was being pursued by that man in that home three hundred miles away. That was none other than twenty two year old John Villarreal trying to take that teen girl who he met from an online chatting sight. He met someone online. I believe it was Facebook. I don't remember exactly, but they met online. If that doesn't give you insight to the mindset of his unacceptable response to not getting what he wants, then I don't know what will is a woman dead and another person fighting for his life life all over trying to go and take a teen girl while also planning to go murder her family. Like, are you serious, my guy? Is this really what you're trying to tell us? Was happening? So police were hearing all of this, but they had to make sure too, So they needed to investigate this guy more. Let me see what he's really about and what he seemed to lack in physical threat and appearance, he more than made up with in mental you know, deficit or problems it seemed.

26:31 It turns out, after a complete search of the vehicle, they found a total of four firearms, and creepy yet true was that they also found a rain suit. So was it raining when the killings were happening? You know? Why was there a rain suit in the car? No? Absolutely not. When he was questioned about it, that's when John Villarreal callously explained to police that he was bringing a black raincoat because he was going to wear it during his wet extraction. He didn't want to get blood all over his clothes and it would wash off easy. Once he got the teen's family murdered, it would be much easier just to wash off a raincoat than it would be to get it on his clothes. So a warrant was executed on John's home, where the police also recovered an additional rifle, as well as some things that they were pretty interested to find. This included the contents from James's wallet, so this was clearly a trophy he had kept to memorialize what had happened. And as they're looking through his things, they also found articles from the local newspapers that were detailing the investigation and the shootings.

27:45 To that point, he was making himself a little scrap book of his work that he was proud of, so to speak. He was memorializing what he had done. And what's more, they also found two bullet cases, and so those bullet casings were taken and turned into the crime lab. They were tested and they were shown to be consistent with the weapon that was fired and killed Mary and shot James. Now, there were also some papers that they found on how to make homemade silencers. So a silencer, if you're not familiar, it's also called a suppressor. But there's no legitimate purpose to make a silencer other than you know, like if you were going to muffle the sound for like sportsmen for hunters, And the argument there is kind of like, I guess hearing protection if you want to call it that, And I know someone right now is gonna argue with me and say, what are you talking about? But I even did research to make sure what I'm telling you is on par and it is.

28:47 And in forty one states suppressors are legal for hunting. So basically, the suppressor is going to lower the noise level to about thirty five decibels, which is comparable to having earplugs in and so like if you live near a firing range or if you have hunting land and you live around it, it limits the complaints that are made about all the noise. And then there's also an argument that's made that you know, it reduces recoil and it could decrease the muzzle flinch that could happen. So if you like animals, animal lovers, you know, make an argument that a silencer or a suppressor is cool because it makes you better like on your shot placement, which would make for a more humane hunt because you're more likely to hit the right area. Only eight states have outlawed suppressors, so I don't know. I thought maybe you might be curious as to know who they are, and you might could guess it. But I'll tell you who they are. California, Shocker, Illinois, New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Jersey, and Delaware. They will not let you have a suppressor for your firearm. But John Villarreal did not have humaneness. You know, in his mind, he wanted this suppressor so that he could get away with murder hands down.

30:02 He didn't want people to hear what he was doing. He was very matter of fact and telling the police about how he had created these suppressors, and then he detailed, like it really detailed, how he had prepared for this extraction that he was going to go do, and that he had a lot of plans to commit this, which included creating a training area for his tactical shooting practice. And you know, he was proud. I mean, I don't know how to explain this. You have to see him do this, but it's like he's proud. He felt like a manly man. When he was recounting the murder, or the shooting and killing of one person and the attempted murder of another person. He looks like someone off of Big Bang Theory if you ever watched that, like total nerd central skinny arms and bony elbows and so being capable of this is kind of like, you know, you kind of turn your nose about it, like really And I don't know about you, but when he started claiming that he was praying for James to survive, I got angry.

31:06 Don't you dare say that you were praying that he survived. Don't you dare say that you care now now that you realize James didn't die yet and that you don't know whether he'll be able to say what happened and testify against you. He says, I prayed that the man would survive. Why didn't you pray for Mary? I'm just curious, why not? Why didn't you say a prayer for the woman that you shot? And the answer is because you don't need to. She's dead and she's of no consequence to you. The reality is that you dumped James and Mary on the shoulder of the highway and you went about your so called mission. He threw out their belongings At the next exit he got to after he dumped them out, he threw all their stuff out, and then he even went and stopped at a truck stop so he could clean out the car. So I mean, I guess he was praying to God as he was trying to cover up the evidence. I guess. Sure. Yeah, I believe that whatever total lack of emotion during this confession, the only time that there was even a hint at some type of emotion is when it was brought up that he said that he might not get to go to heaven. That's when he let his little lip quiver.

32:14 He might not go to heaven, but please don't let that maybe possibly get you in your feels, because there is always more. There's always more. Police would continue to investigate, and they would uncover the fact that John Villarreal had a pattern of poor behavior when it came to females. He didn't just now snap under the pressures of going to save his lover, which by the way, he never met in real life. It's ridiculous. He was at the center of a harassment complaint by an Appalachian State University student. She went to them and said, I am afraid of this guy, and his social media posts are like veiled threats against me. I really think y'all need to look into this. She was a junior at the university. She had had a very very brief relationship with John Villarrel and at first, you know, she thought, well, he's a nice guy, you know, but then she quickly realized that not only was he just like weird, she got this dangerous weird vibe from him. So when she broke it off, that's when this guy decided that he was going to go one hundred percent full on cyberstalking and social media attacking of this girl. He went out with her one time, she decided that she did not want to be with him anymore, and so he went on the offensive and he started doing things that I think anyone would be

Specifically, he got all of her personal information and he put it online, like her full legal name, her current address at the university she put He put her parents address out there, her email was put out there. And I know, you're like, well, so what crazy people would love to go and attack this girl for no reason. So she got very alarmed by this, and looking at all these postings that he was doing about her, she went and confronted him and was like, what are you doing? I don't even know you, bro like, leave me alone. And all he would say to her was that he was not responsible for anything that may happen to her. He was just putting information on the internet. So that's when she contacted the university police and they looked into his post online and they found that there was even more to this guy. He loved to post and boast about his anti law enforcement sentiments and even said this is a direct quote, by the way, quote, I'm not afraid of the corrupt law enforcers who may be working with you, And he was mentioning the girl that had broken up. I don't even think it's a breakup. It's more like I don't want to see you anymore. But I'll say who broke up with him? And he even challenged the police at that point and said, quote, if you want me, this is an open challenge to come for me. But if you do, I will defend myself and anyone who tries to harm me will die. Consider yourselves warned. I'm sure the local sheriff will understand me

35:16 shooting an assailant. This has absolute Columbine shooter vibes with this pseudo bravado and his anger towards everyone who doesn't like how he behaves, you know, the Columbine shooters. He also bragged about how they wanted to take these Christian goody goods as they called them, and how they would love to rape them and sexually assault them and all of this. They talked about that, just like John Villeril looked at women as property, not people, and he liked to attack them as well if they rejected him. And the Columbine shooters themselves talked a whole lot about how women rejected the other girls rejected them and didn't want to date them. So there's like this theme there if you look at people like this, wanting the threats to stop, the girl says, okay, well, you know, I don't want this to escalate. She started thinking maybe what she was doing was escalating this, and so she had been pursuing a protective order in the courts against him to make him cease and desist talking about her to her or being around her. But as a lot of people do when they just want something to go away, she decided against pursuing the charges against him because she just wanted it to go away. Also, when the police investigated it, they decided that, you know, they wanted to see if they could maybe put some misdemeanor charges against him, like for cyberstalking or something to kind of like, you know, check him and say bruh, we're gonna we're gonna stop this.

36:46 You're not gonna do it. But when it was all sudden done, they really couldn't find a law, a specific law that had been broken. Poor taste, absolutely, but no specific law. And so he, the detective that worked on that case, even talked to this girl and said, you know, maybe you should go before the judge and you should get this protective order, which, like I said, she considered doing. But the messages soon after that stopped, and so she didn't want to antagonize him anymore as she was thinking about it, and so she quit going after it. My personal opinion is that it only stopped because he latched on to this young underage girl and started making that his focus. I don't know that for a fact that that's what I feel like in my gut. But the police were so alarmed by him that the university police that they then went and contacted the local police and sheriff's office and warned them, look if you deal with this guy approached with caution because he makes tons of posts about stand your ground laws, and he genuinely believed that the police were harassing him, that he had grounds to shoot the police. So, you know, this girl said that his behavior was odd almost immediately. She said that whenever they went like walking around the city that first date or whatever, just kind of get to know each other,
