2:20 So we're going to jump right on into this one. This is going to be the part two of the Obsessed episode of Zach Anderson and a quick recap of last episode because we did have Christmas right, and so there was another episode in between last one and this one. But quick recap just for you. Sadie Beacham was dating Rosalio Gutierrez and he had stopped answering his messages and his text. It really kind of made her nervous, so she went to his apartment to check on him, and that's where she found a blood covered apartment and no Rosalio. There was a medium ish sized rug that was obviously removed from the apartment after there had been a bunch of bloodshed there and after what appeared to be an attack had taken place. So Sadie immediately pointed her finger at her ex of many years and also the father of her children.

3:04 His name was Zachariah, will call him Zach, and she said, look, he's been stalking me. I believe that he had broken into Rosalio's truck, his registration had been taken, some personal information was on that, and I'm really worried that he might have something to do with this. So police did look further into those claims, and they also believed that Zach had the motive and the means necessary to possibly be responsible for what had happened to Rosalio, and so looking further, police also found that he had a phone that had the you know, some software on there that he would be able to basically track Sadie. And there was some other circumstantial evidence and that's kind of where we left off now. Sadie believed that he was tracking her, but she also thought, look, he's also recording me, like my voice as well. Somehow he's knowing what's going on, and so why would she think that? Will you tell me what you think? Okay? On May thirteenth, that is when Sadie went to go see Rosalio, and so she said, we were gonna go to his apartment. We're gonna have some food, and we were gonna watch some movies. And so while we were hanging out at the apartment, Rosalio said something to her, This is not a direct quote or anything, but something to the effect of, hey, do you want to watch this show or do you want to watch something else? And he mentions another show. Suddenly, right after, like right after those words come out of Rosalio's mouth, Sadie receives ding a text. A text message

4:38 comes across on her phone and the text is from her children's father, Zach, And what's super creepy is that the text message is an exact quote, like an exact quote of what Rosalio had just said to Sadie. How could he possible know what had just been said between two adults who were home alone, no children in the house, and they're in an apartment that's Rosalio's. How could that be? How could that possibly have happened? So later on, when questioning him, he says, oh, that was an accident. I didn't mean to text you. It was just an accident, Lati Da.

5:21 But technology on his cell phone at that moment is going to indicate that too, was a lie. And it's kind of something that I don't think can be explained away. See, when that text was sent, Zach's phone was going off at a Kenosha tower, and not just any tower, Okay, it was a Kenosha tower that was the closest tower to rosal Leo's home. And Zach didn't live near Rosalio. Zach lived in Mekwan, So it's not this random tower in Kenosha, it's the one close to where Rosalio lived. And not only does this put Zack by the apartment at the exact time of the conversation, but it also places him at the location, literally quoting what is being said inside Rosalio's apartment. I don't believe in coincidences. What do you think I would be a little I'd be a little bothered by that.

6:24 So then on May fourteenth, Zach is now basically looking for a confrontation based on some of the text messages that were exchanged between he and Sadie. Sadie wasn't texting him loving messages. He was sending her messages and basically taunting her. So on May fourteenth, at four thirteen pm, and I'm giving you these dates to kind of help you with the timeline. Here he texts her and says, Hey, you want me to stop by to meet Junior tonight And Junior was another name for Rosalio at four forty one, So about a half an hour later, he's still on that topic and he's saying, you know, can I stop by and I could you know, maybe I should come meet him? And really it's not a nice type of Hey, maybe I should stop by and we could, you know, meet each other and be friendly since you're getting to be in a relationship with him and we have children together. It was more of like taunting her and trying to provoke her, But it really comes across as he's trying to say, I want a confrontation with him, not legitimately meet him. He also says things to her in text messages to the effect of, and these are not my words.

7:34 I want to be very clear, these are not my words. But you know, he says, you race down to Kenosha every chance you get to lay down with some Down syndrome Mexican version of your father. You know, I have a lot of people that I know and I admire with down syndrome, one of which who is a listener, and he he graduated from Southeastern recently. So to use that as an insult, I'm not sure it really is going to meet the mother of being an insult. And if you if Zach didn't care, then why does he need to insult her, her or new boyfriend. I don't know that that's you know, it's not really following the dynamic of oh, I don't really care what's going on in your life. So Sadie text ros Leo at one point thereafter, and she says to him I want to be yours. Okay, she says, I want to get more serious. I want this to be just me and you.

8:31 You know, I want to dedicate and be committed to you, and I'd like for you to be committed to me. Once that message is sent, that is when things seemed to really kind of start downward spiraling, because on May fifteenth, that's whenever Zach Anderson went and took out fifty thousand dollars in cash from his bank account. Now, law enforcement when they went to go, you know, check his home and see what they could find for evidence wise, he still had forty six thousand dollars worth of that cash literally like in bank bags bound together. And so while having fifty grand doesn't mean a lot of anything, it really kind of makes you wonder, why would you go pull fifty grand out of the bank and then still have it if it wasn't being held for purposes that you might could maybe go on the run, you know, if you needed to and you had a lot of cash to get out of Dodge real quick. You know. Again, it's not criminal to take money out of your bank, but sure is questionable. So May fifteenth, he takes out all this money. And then on May seventeenth, two days later, that's when Rosalio is attacked and goes missing. So kind of keep the timeline going in your head, because you know, in law enforcement, and I think in every aspect of life, totality of circumstance matters.

9:58 It's not just the little nitpicky pieces, it's all of it together that kind of paints a picture of what might really be going on here. So then two days later after Rosolio goes missing on May nineteenth, that's when that detective lorn On Shoots originally had responded to Rosilio's apartment. He saw the blood dripping down the walls and he says, look, it was outside on the exterior mailboxes outside of the apartment, which was in like a hall area, and it was dripping down the doorframe. There was blood, you know, in the apartment. It was around the TV. It was you know, pulling on the back of the couch where you would rush your head. It was on the cabinets, he said, it was on the ceilings. He knows he noticed two that if if you were to stand outside of Rosolio's apartments, okay, and there was like a wall of a wall of mailboxes right where you go check your your mail in an apartment. But he noticed that.

10:56 Look, if you were going to do some type of like blitz attack on somebody, that you could knock on the door and then crouch or kind of hide behind the wall that was there. And if ross Leo would have looked out of his door, you know, his peep hole or open his door, he might not have seen or probably would not have seen someone that was hiding. And it was just perfect for a blit style attack because it would have been hard to see someone if they knocked on the door. Not to mention, if you remember last episode, he was expecting a visitor, that woman that was going to come meet him, and she ended up going to the wrong apartment complex, so it wasn't so far fetched to think, oh, that must be her, and he would have opened his door and then been attacked right there. There was also another officer, his name was Van Wi, but he believed, based on the evidence at the scene, that there had been seven separate events that had taken place in that apartment, based on all of the blood evidence. I don't mean seven separate as in different days. I mean just like seven different points of contact with Rosolio's body, whether it was a knife wound or hit with a bat or a piece of wood or whatever it was that he was you know, beat with.

12:03 So that same day police went to Zach's home and they found a burn pit there, and so they were kind of searching through that burn pit. And then they also went to a family farm that the Anderson family owned, and they found a second burn pit there. So the contents of the burn pits are what was left behind it, you know, was in the burn pits was of considerable interest to police because clothing was being burned in these burn pits. Now, look, it's not criminal by any means to burn clothes. It is strange as hell, though, to be burning stuff in pouring down rain. So it kind of makes you think, or it made me think, what would be of such urgency that I would need to go burn during a rainstorm? Because I don't know of any urgency of where I would need to burn right then, right then unless I was trying to get rid of something that could not wait and it needed to be destroyed, not buried.

13:07 It had to be destroyed, burned up. So again, totality of circumstance here, seven inches of rain had fallen and the pit when police got there it was still smoldering, meaning it had been being burnt and turned and used during this rainstorm. And so they looked further. They found jeans that were burned in there, bleachs like a bleach bottle, socks, underwear, and even weirder, steel toe boots. Why would you burn that in the middle of a rainstorm. And upon further inspection, police also noticed what looked like an underwear band from some fruit of the loom underwear. They found blue jeen buttons, They found those components to the steel toe boots. There was a melted bleach bottle. Like I said, and it's it's hard to deny that it looks pretty weird to be burning clothes and regular trash on a rainy day.

14:07 Again, not criminal. You can burn whatever the hell you want, but you put it into the circumstances of what's happening here and that just seems a bit odd. So, based on this information, along with all the other evidence from episode one, on May twenty first, twenty twenty, Zach Zachariah Anderson was arrested for stalking, okay, not for rosal Leo and how the fact that he's missing. But they felt like police said, there's enough evidence here, we're gonna arrest for the stalking charges. So when law enforcement apprehended him and they got his phone, they found a screenshot of a section of the registration from ros Leo's truck. So, if you hadn't broken into the truck and you hadn't taken that information, why would you have a picture of the registration on your cell phone? What would you need it for?

15:03 Why would you have that? I can't even think of a reason of why you would need that. And on it they even can see a signature section for the person it ended up being Rosolio's stepfather. But you know, he had signed apparently for the truck. I don't know if he was a co sign or what it was, but he had signed something. His signature was on that registration and it also had Rosolio's Kenosha address written on it. Again, circumstantial, completely strange if you have nothing to do with this guy and you don't know him, right. So police even went and they questioned neighbors and they said, look, did you hear anything suspicious? Was there anything out of place? One neighbor. Her name was Marissa Swanigan. She came forward and said on May seventeenth, Yes, I heard a loud bang, and she said it sounded like someone had fallen or something big had hit a wall. Now, if you remember from episode one, another person that police had a word with was Christine Rimsburg, and that was Zach's girlfriend at the time. Zach is literally staying four or five nights a week at her home and when she was interviewed in May of twenty twenty, she said that their relationship had been going on for about a year and when they questioned her about his whereabouts on May seventeenth, she verified Zach was with me the whole time, But it turned out after further review that this was actually a mistake.

16:30 Zach was not with her. Even her sister, Casselina Rimsburg that's her younger sister, agreed, No, Zach was not with us. He did not spend the night on May seventeenth. He did not spend the night with us the day that Rosalio is believed to have gone missing. So a further research of the phone records would be done and it would be noted by police that Zach's main cell phone, which remember, he had a bunch of phone. It was noted that his main cell phone was turned off between the hours of seven forty two pm and eleven nineteen pm on that very night of May seventeenth when Rosalio went missing. So the argument was made, look, the phone he uses every day to contact people, the one he uses day in and day out, just happens to not be answered or used and is turned off from seven point thirty or roughly seven thirty to roughly eleven twenty that very night, and was the only phone he had with like the smart capabilities that would have been able to track him, and it just so happens that phone was turned off and he did not return any calls or any text that had been coming in from multiple people, including that same girlfriend, Christine Rimsberg. She

18:02 tried to contact him multiple times because she was expecting him that evening. She was saying things like what are we gonna have for dinner? She was talking about a movie or what they were gonna watch, and then finally she kind of gets frustrated and around it's around eleven nineteen pm, says, Okay, I'm going to bet right because he never showed up. And she doesn't know why you won't answer the phone, And then he gets a hold of her after that and says, oh sorry, I actually had fallen asleep. What so you just happen to fall asleep between that time and never show up at the house you were expected to be at to have dinner with the person you were expected to have dinner with, and then no explanation other than oh I fell asleep. And it's kind of interesting too that he would have had time to drive from his home in Mekwan to Kenosha, admit the crime, and get back to the Mekwan area, pick up that phone that he hasn't been answering, and now conveniently text her and say, oh sorry, I fell asleep during the exact hours that it's believed that Rosalio Gutirez was was hurt and never seen from again again. Coincidence, I don't know. So Sadie and her daughter ended up having a conversation together on the eighteenth, the day after Rosolio was an answer in the phone, and I can't imagine what it must

19:33 have been like for her daughter to have a conversation where her mother's crying because her boyfriend's not answering the phone. She's really worried that something bad has happened to him. And the reason I'm saying I can't believe what it must have been like to be the daughter is because the daughter had more information than I think. She was emotionally mature and ready to be in possession of See Sadie, he believed that Zach had been stalking her via those cell phone and that tracking software. But what she didn't know right was that her daughter had been taken along for some of the stalking behaviors, and it went much further than just tracking her. Zach and Sadie's daughter had information that her dad had straight up asked her to be a spy for him on her mother. He had given her a G six Moto phone and told her to record her mom whenever her mom got upset, and Sadie eventually found that phone. Right, well, if Zach hadn't actually been doing this, then there's a really, really, really strange another coincidence that when police were doing the search warrant for Zach's laptop, they found those very recordings from that very phone that was mentioned on his laptop, thirty six recordings to be Zach and it's the daughter in Sadie talking with him and arguments and it's all backed up. And they also see

21:03 a folder that is really obviously a problem if you're paying attention to this case, because it's a file that's labeled Rosileo Gutierrez Junior. He has a file on his laptop and so they open it, and when they do, they find picture after picture of screenshots of ros Leo's Facebook photos, photos of him with his kids, just tons of photos of this guy. And it's also got an electronic map that's pinned to the actual location of ros Leo's home. So I don't know about you, but what in the deadly attraction is going on with that? That's really hard to explain. I cannot think of a legitimate reason of why you would need any of that information, But whatever the reason, it sure looks like an obsessive sign of dangerous behavior to come.

22:00 So when the daughter was asked about her whereabouts prior to the day Rosaleo went missing, specifically they were going back to April twenty fourth and twenty fifth, she stated that her dad drove her to her mom's house that night, interesting enough, left the four year olds home alone sleeping, which sounds extremely dangerous, and she says this was in the middle of the night, under the cloak of darkness. Right when they arrived at her mother's home, they turned into the driveway, but then the daughter specifically says, but then dad backed out of the driveway and kind of moved to another parking place a bit away from the home. And that's when she says she watched with her own eyes her dad jump on the porch of her mom's home and looked through the window.

22:45 And while he was doing that, the daughter also claimed that Zach was recording with what she called a handheld recorder, not like a phone, but a handheld recorder. And once he was done recording whatever he was according through the window, she said her dad then went around and placed another phone that he had in the air conditioning like insulation and I'm guessing it was like a window unit, but the up in a little blank space to record sound. And then the daughter said he came back to the car. So when he gets back to the car, he looks at the daughter and says, hey, do you want to see what they're doing? And so she went along with it and said okay, and got out of the car, and they went together up to the house and they looked inside of the window. Now, this is creepy behavior, and it makes me angry because as a child of divorce myself, I know what it's like for adults to maybe have intentions that make sense in their head. But it absolutely is inappropriate behavior and it's the wrong actions to take to drag a kid into it. Kids don't have a place in divorce. They should not have a place in divorce. They shouldn't know anything. And I know they weren't made okay, but I'm calling it a divorce, whatever, a separation or a break. You know, kids should be oblivious. They just need to know the minimum. We're not gonna be together anymore, and we're gonna work out other you know, other plans. But they shouldn't know any of the adult side of things, no matter how hard that is. And as a parent myself, you know,

24:18 kids are gonna feed off of your requests and your guidance because you're their parent and they love you. And I'm not sure, and you know, this is speculation, of course, but it almost seems like was he trying to turn the daughter against the mom? And then if that's the case. What about what could have happened when he took a twelve year old at the time up to a window to look in and spy on a mother and boyfriend who think that they're alone. What if it would have been more than just sitting on the couch and you've brought your daughter up to see that. That would have been so incredibly traumatizing to that kid. As if this this behavior isn't already confusing enough. You love both of your parents, and then one of them is asking you to do something, and out of love for your parent, you go along with it. Then the daughter goes into detail about how her dad, when they got up to the window, made her take her shirt. If you're watching me, I'll do it, but take her shirt and cover her nose and her mouth when they got up there because he didn't want her breathing on the window and causing it to fog up. Those are details I don't think a child would make up on their own. You know, it's very detailed for something a kid might would have made up. And then when the daughter looked inside the window, she said she saw her mom and rosso Leo sitting on the couch together. And the child even got emotional at this point when she was telling that part of the story. She said

25:48 that they were just listening to music and that's when she and her dad then left the porch, and she says they got in the car, but then her dad took back off his sandals once they got to the car, and then went up to Roso Leo's car and took a picture of his license plate. And then she said, he took the recording device from the air conditioner unit, rang the doorbell, and then they took off in the truck. And as they drove away, she said her dad tried to play the recording that he had just gotten from the phone he had placed in that window or in that air unit, whatever that, but they couldn't hear anything. And if you remember, Sadie even said when her doorbell rang that night, she got up and looked, and she saw what looked to be his truck driving away. How could this kid possibly make that link if she hadn't been there.

26:42 I just don't see that happening. And then she says, when we returned home, Dad just basically told me to go get some sleep. He dropped me off, and then he left again after about three am, so she gave a little bit more detail on the plan. Her father also had some which I mentioned in the first episode, about lying and pretending that her mom had abandoned her. The little bit of detail she added was the fact that her dad coached her that, look, you're going to dial the number, but as soon as it rings, hang up, so it won't actually ring on your mom's end. And they're going to do that a couple of times so that it looks like you kept trying to call your mom and then she wouldn't answer the phone. Another time, the daughter gave more information.

27:25 And this little girl, y'all, is a queen. I cannot tell you. This is a This kid right here, this is where it's at, because this little girl does not falter. She does not take crap from anybody who questions it. She knows what she knows, and she says what she says. And I think that she's an absolute queen for this because she's young. Current time, she's fourteen, but when she was this was happening, she was twelve, right, And she says, look another time that it was the early morning hours. It was about two o'clock in the morning. She says, it was a school night and my mom had gone on this little mini vaca without us, so my aunt was watching us. Now, it wasn't really her aunt. It was like her mom's best friend, and they just called her aunt like people do. And she said, I went to bed and then I woke up to my dad standing over me in the house and it kind of shocked her, and he told her to get up and get ready, so they were gonna, I guess, go to school and the brothers were woken up. She was woken up. She says, it was like four point thirty in the morning, and it was really unexpected.

28:29 It kind of spooked her because it was bizarre, and no one had told her that her dad was going to be coming to get her to come get them. And she said, just the time of morning was weird. It was bizarre, and why was my dad standing over me and waking us up? Now? You know, in less seriousness, I guess Of other experiences the daughter went through, She also mentioned that her dad liked to call roso Leo derogatory names. You've already heard one that I mentioned earlier, but some some of them, she says, were so derogatory. She didn't even really want to say them aloud. But one that she would mention was that Zach always called Rosalio booger. Okay, and so she was asked, well, why would your dad call him booger? I don't you know. I don't get the connection there, and she said, because Zach saw Rosalio pick his nose and wipe it on the mom's couch during one of his stalking events, so he liked to keep bringing that up and call him booger. If anything, these examples of behavior are a mix of childish and alarming. But what stood out considering the fact that Rosalio was now missing, is the fact that the daughter also told police that her dad told her that he was going to quote show Rosalio who the man was. So what do you think that means? So, you know, it really bugs me thinking about children that are caught up in divorce or in breakups or whatever. And when kids are

29:59 you as tools to get to get you know, what a parent wants. And so I went to the Childmind Institute and I was kind of looking through some of their information about children of divorce, and there were three things that I thought were kind of important here the first one, don't make a kid choose. If you make it a test of loyalty that a child has to choose, children are going to feel as if they're only allowed to love one parent, and if they love the other parent, then it's going to be a betrayal of the first parent. And it really feels like that's what's happening here. If you make your kids choose who to love, what are these poor kids involved? And then another thing, it says, make sure you don't ever confide in your kids about divorce. You should insulate them from the conflict. You shouldn't be sharing information about it with them, even if it's tempting. Right, even if you think the other parent has done wrong, or their attorney or some has done you wrong, you still want to keep your kids out of that legal battle. Their kids. And then another big one, don't use them as a weapon. It's like divorce one oh one, break up one oh one, and everything they listed, it seems was being done to this daughter. You know, both people were probably good parents before the divorce or the breakup process started, but now because you're angry with one another, you're gonna start nitpicking everything about the other one and it's irrelevant

31:33 if she was on the couch with roso Leo making out, it's irrelevant. You know, it doesn't matter. Why would you do those things and why would you drag your kid along? And when asked where and what they did on May sixteenth, this is the day before roso Leo was attacked and went missing, the daughter said she rode to the family tree farm in a van that her dad owned, and when they left her dad's house to go to that family tree farm, she specifically said that her twin brothers were in the back seats and she was in the front seat, and when she was asked was there anything else in the vehicle, she said, well, I did see a chainsaw in the van. And then when they arrived, she said they stayed at the tree farm for a couple of hours, and something that stood out to her too was that her dad borrowed her grandfather's work boots.

32:25 When they came home from the tree farm, she said they rode home in that exact same van and described the van as a carpeted van. Everything was normal and it was just another day in their lives. Now. What was really interesting to investigators about that was the fact that when Zach was asked about the vehicles he owned and the ones that he used, he blatantly failed to mention this very van He only mentioned another vehicle he owned, which was an Audie, and he sticks to the story that the Audi is as means of transportation. But the actual fact was that stein Rimsberger remember his girlfriend, she had been driving that car because her own car was having issues, and so he hadn't been driving that car at all. Really, so why would something so obvious be quote unquote forgotten. I mean, a work vehicle that you drive your kids in as well as go do work in. You failed to mention. You just forget to mention that's the vehicle you're in day in and day out. Is that a failure to mention or is that a convenient omission?

33:29 How do you forget a vehicle that you wrote it? You don't, that's the answer, you don't. So police also talked to Zach regarding his knowledge of Rosolio, and there's no way that Zach did not understand how important this moment was. Whenever you think about the fact that Rosalio is missing, right, so you've got to understand that this is really important. That you give all the information you have. As an innocent person, you need to say everything you can to I guess, exonerate yourself from any suspicion. And knowing how important it is, he still tries to give the officers the impression that he doesn't know Rosilio. He says something to the effect of him being some Mexican guy and he thinks that they call him junior like something to that effect. He denies knowing anything really about him at all. He denies ever being to Rosilio's home. Deny, deny. But what he's not realizing is that simply cannot be true what he's telling the police, because based on his own electronic evidence, his text messages and his own phone, they know that he was there on May thirteenth. When you start lying, the cards are going to start falling. So when the police go back to look at this vehicle that the van, they find something even more interesting. The carpeting that was in the back of the van had been cut and it was cut down

35:00 to where the electronics were like basically exposed, you know, it was like down to like the plastic flooring that would be underneath or the metal flooring whatever. That would be underneath the carpeting. And on top of that, a notation is made that there's now bleach stains on parts of the remaining carpet that weren't cut away. And when that daughter, they asked her, hey, what was the condition of the van whenever you went to the tree farm. She was very adamant. It was full of carpet, There were no bleach stains. It was just the regular van. Daddy had a chainsaw in it. La Ti doc So. On May eighteenth, the day after Rosalio is believed to have disappeared, where was zach right? What was he doing?

35:44 The minute by minute accountability for his entire day here, it's not exact, but I'm going to give you the gist of the day he had. So he did three things that kind of stand out that day. Number one, he went to Walmart. Number two, he went and did some work at a property they called the Cedar Grove property, which was some demolition type work. And then he went and picked up his tax returns. But that Walmart trip had some security footage, and it's a little bit more suspicion than what it sounds. First, he went online and he was searching to see when Walmart opened. And this was done in the wee early hours of the eighteenth.

36:27 Remember Rosalie I went missing on the seventeenth, the evening of the seventeenth, On the wee early morning hours of the eighteenth, roughly four am to be exact, he's up and he's searching for what hour does Walmart open? So why would you be doing that at four am when you have worked the next day. It seems kind of strange, right, So they asked him about that. But his explanation is that, look, it was COVID. COVID was happening, and so I wasn't sure what the store hours were because they're weird because of COVID. Okay, fair enough, Okay, I'll bite on that it was COVID and you weren't sure when Walmart was opening. But it does seem strange to me that if you were supposed to just be up going about a legitimate day the next day and working and doing your hard labor, and you have stuff to do, that you would be up at four am, very very very concerned about what time Walmart opened. Why wouldn't you just wake up that morning at a regular hour and see if Walmart was open.

37:25 Why are you searching it in the middle of the night. Why is there a rush to get there so early? Not a bombshell, but odd. But adding to that oddness is the video because when he got to Walmart, it was roughly eight seventeen am and it was pouring down rain, So it's not a super busy time for a Walmart. And again, if we're going to jump on the COVID train, there's not a ton of people at Walmart because of the COVID. So where do you park when it's raining? I want you to just ask yourself that it's pouring down rain and you go to a store like Walmart, where are you gonna park? Common sense will tell you most people would park right up by the door. They don't want to get wet. They're gonna try to get as close as they can to the door. Most people would do that, But not Zach. He parked way far away from the stoor, like off in the distance with plenty of open spots, but he is far away from the door. It's raining, and he parks at the end of the Walmart parking lot, not up by the door. So that's weird. Why would you not do that? Is there something in the van possibly that you don't want people just a lot of people walking past, maybe or anyone walking past and seeing it's odd. And then he's seen walking through Walmart with no mask on, even though he's claiming, oh COVID. You know, he was worried about what time they were going to be they were gonna be open, and you know, but he's got no mask on. And the totality of circumstance again here it matters because

38:59 when they and searched his home, they made a notation that it wasn't exactly the most well kept home. You know, it wasn't clean to a level that would indicate a fear of COVID. There wasn't lyesole wipes out everywhere and all of that. So I'm not inclined to buy the COVID reason, but if I did, I'll give him that. Okay, great COVID. Yeah, that's why he did the search, That's why he did all of that. I'll give him that. Why did you park so far away in the rain? Combined with what did he buy while he was there? Great question, I'll tell you. Trash bags, bleach cleaning wipes and rubber gloves and then when he gets to the register, he pays with the almighty dollar of cash. Yeah, no red flags there whatsoever? Right, bleach, trash bags, cleaning wipes, rubber gloves, pays with cash. It's like forensic files one O one, how to get away with murder, you know, saying like alrighty then, but we're not gonna read into that right now.

40:07 It was brought up what trash bags did he buy, and specifically they mentioned he bought thirteen gallon kitchen bags, not huge ones like lawn and leaf. And so you know, someone you know has mentioned why would you get small ones if you're gonna throw away a body? Okay, well, first of all, I wouldn't throw a body away in a whole trash bag. I don't know that that would be my motive of operation, right, but let's say I was. There's something to remember about what was in that van that the daughter mentioned, and that was a chainsaw. That was a chainsaw in the back of the van. His daughter saw it and mentioned it, And it surely makes sense to me that you would not need huge bags for cut up items or body parts. Now, there's certainly no proof of this being the case, because to this day ross Leo's body has never been found, but it's sure does make a compelling argument considering we haven't found him, and what are chainsaws for. Well, disclaimer not to cut up bodies, but you know, people use things for the wrong reasons all the time, all right. So Zach's daughter also had a little bit more information about some items at his home around this time too, because she said, when I was there, I saw down in the basement. She said, brand new rope.

41:25 There was brand new duct tape, and it was on top of this little desk chair, like a wheelly desk chair. And so when police got there and they were looking at this location, and this was on the nineteenth shown off, when they got down there, there was the wheelly chair, exactly as the daughter described it would be, and she was completely right. But guess what. There was no rope, there was no new duct tape. So it certainly seems probable or a likely probability. I guess that if you wanted to move a body, a bleeding body at that you could roll them up in a carpet like one missing from the apartment, tie it up with rope, make a strap or two, and then duct tape up to try to not have, you know, a mess. So now there are challenges to this, right, I mean without a body, no body, no one hundred percent proof that Rosolio is dead, right, Well, maybe, but there are really no other plausible links that would make sense here.

42:29 Also, when you take into consideration the van's missing carpet and the bleach clearly used to clean the van, it looks pretty bad. Added to that now the fact that blood evidence was found in the very van two despite what looks to be a cleanup of the back of the van, there was one spot that was remaining, and three people from the crime lab gave the opinion that what was found in the van was blood and belonged to Rosolio. When Zach left that Walmart too, he didn't go home. It was pouring down rain. You're gonna go do construction, I guess in the rain, I don't know. But he didn't go straight home. He went to other areas and those were near a state park and another of other remote locations where there are hundreds of dumpsters, and there are tons of wooded areas all over Wisconsin, Wisconsin, and it seems kind of reasonable to think that you could be scattering remains as you went along to all of these remote areas. Now, on December of twenty twenty, based on everything I've mentioned so far, they upgraded the charges against zach He had originally been arrested for the stalking charges. Now the homicide charge was added to his case. After that, DNA evidence from the van came to light, and on February twenty eighth of twenty twenty three, that is whenever the Wisconsin versus Zachariah Anderson trial began, and y'all the

44:04 fight was on. Okay, Now, this is kind of interesting to me. The Kenosha County Circuit judge that presided over this trial, his name was Bruce Schroeder. And if that sounds familiar, it's because he is the same judge that presided over the Kyle Rittenhouse case. If you followed that case. Now, it's important to remember that evidence of motive, okay, which if you're like, oh, he had the motive, he had the motive, okay, Well, evidence of motive is not enough to convict someone, you know. No one has to prove their innocence in court. It's the state's job to prove they are guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and beyond a reasonable doubt is like you know, common sense. It's a person that has reasonable prudence.

44:52 How would they observe this information? And you can have a few small doubts of exactly what might have happened. You don't have to have a video of the whole thing. But beyond a reasonable doubt, if you are beyond a reasonable doubt that this guy likely did this, then we're gonna convict. So on day one of the trial, which is actually technically day two because they had some issues the first day, the judge gave this direct quote to the jury. He said, give the defendant the benefit of the doubt. Okay, And I think that's fair and that's true. You give the benefit of the doubt to the defendant. Make the state prove their case. He does not have to prove his innocence. The state has to prove his guilt.

45:36 Some other information that was brought up during the trial and during the prosecution was that Zach actually had a really large marijuana growing operation. And his daughter testified to this and said he had a really complex watering system. She said he had seventy two plants and that there was a drying station. She said he had mushrooms that he stored in baggies in the fridge, and they said, okay, well, if you know this, what did they look like? And that little queen got up there and said, well, I mean they were really thin and an off white brownish color. And it's funny when you listen to this little girl get up there, and I'm just so proud of her as a woman, that that little girl got up there, and she was fierce, y'all. She stood her ground. She knew what she knew, and nobody was going to change that. And it's funny because she would get up there and she would even rebut like on some of the photos and the statements when they would try to, you know, say things that you know, what is this what now? I don't know about that, but I do know this right. She was very clear. And she also testified to the fact that her dad had told her, oh, I got rid of all of that. I don't do that anymore. But it was obviously not true. He had lied to his daughter too, as evidenced by the findings in the home, because they actually found all that cash and the dope too. Whenever police went and executed their search warrant. That little girl was a g she held her own and she did really well. I was proud of her for being a fourteen year old girl. Zach's attorney came forward and was like, no, this is all speculation, y'all don't know.

47:08 You know, there's explanations for everything. And so one thing they tried to say was that that speck of blood that was in the van there, they tried to imply that roso Leo left it there himself, because there were some text messages between Rosalio and Sadie saying, you know, I should go over there basically and pay him a visit. He wants to break into my truck and he wants to intimidate and do all these things. Well, maybe I should go pay him a visit. And he did in zach Uh In fact, look up Zach's address. There's no doubt about that. But GPS confirmed that ross Leo was home for twelve hours after he did this. I mean, he didn't even go there. So to make an argument that for some reason Rosalio broke into the van and then left a spot of blood, like, what was he doing in there? What is breaking into the back of a van and leaving a dotta bull like what was what was his goal?

48:00 His goal in those text messages was to say we should go beat his ass because he won't leave us alone. I don't I don't buy that he went to go break into the back of a van. Why, I mean, what are you gonna get there? So I didn't buy that. Then, you know, there was the argument of there's no body. There was no blood stains on Anderson's clothes. Anderson did have a permit to burn things at his house. Well, I wouldn't think there would be blood on his clothes. I think he burned the clothes that he killed him, when of course there's no blood on him. Three people from the crime lab came and gave their professional opinion that what they found in that van was blood and that it belonged to Rosalio. So it kind of came down to me when I was listening to believability versus credibility, and all evidence backed up what Sadie and the daughter kept claiming and saying. Now, I don't know about you, I'm just gonna be honest here that if I looked I looked up older pictures of Zacharia Anderson and I found him to be a handsome man. There were some people that sat behind him during the trial, and there was a gentleman, and I'm gonna say, an older gentleman I don't compared to me. And I believe it was his dad. I don't know that to be a fact, but he was a handsome man too, and they resembled one another, and I could see the attraction and I could see the charm in Zach.

49:21 If you looked back at the photos of his that he's got a thousand watts smile, and he's he's got his shorter haircut and these big blue eyes, and you can see, you know, there were photos of him fishing with his family and you know, hugging up on his on his family members, and you could see baby shower photos. And there were photos of him which looked to be like on vacation, building sand castles with his with his kid. And you know, you can't take humanity out of this. I do believe that Zach loves his children. I think that he was extremely misguided with the daughter. The obsession came and over overtook him. But I'm gonna tell you, there were there were specs of light that I saw in Zach that I could see the attraction in him. A couple of times during like deliberation, I saw him and his attorney kind of smiling and talking about things.

50:16 And another time the judge kind of made a little joke and he kind of laughed and kind of smirked. When his daughter was up testifying on the stand, you could see the light in his eyes that he loved that girl. He loved that little girl. But it doesn't it doesn't outweigh what he did to Rosalia. So another thing that came forward too was a jail house snitch. Now, I'll be the first to tell you I'm not big on jail house snitches. I think that they have a dog in the fight. Usually it's that they're gonna get some type of benefit from testifying. But this guy's was Markwan Washington, and he was facing some really serious federal charges, okay, but he was behind bars with Zach, and he said that they had bonded over some common criminal activity type stuff they had talked about, and there was some credibility there because Mark Kwan was able to tell the details about the case, such as whenever like the police raided Zach's house, and they found that money and weed. He knew that. He also described the house.

51:28 He said it was a crappy little house, but in a nice area. And he even went so far as to say that Zach kind of told him that if you're going to commit a murder, it takes a lot of work, and you have to figure out ways to track people and stalk them because you have to learn their habits and learn what they're up to before you can find your moment. You know. He even, amazingly, according to Markwan Washington suggested, look, if this was something you were going to do, you know, trackers are easy to get on Amazon and be worthwhile to look into. And then he said that Anderson admitted to him that he stabbed Rosoleo and then basically just blacked out right and that and I believe that I think that he got enraged and he just whether he blacked out or not, he did it. But you know, I believe that I think that's true.

52:19 So the defense brought up Zach couldn't have possibly done this. He had back problems and he would not have been able to carry Rosalio, you know, to the van. Well, my brain went immediately went no with enough adrenaline, you can do anything. I mean, they got moms that lifted cars off their kids before in history, whenever they thought their kid was gonna die. So, in terms of the how, Mark Kwan was actually able to answer that, he said, how did you lift that guy? You know, he was kind of a thick dude, And Zach told him, well, I'd been working out at that point. I was really really strong and I had such adrenaline, he said, I was, and this was a quote like Superman, and he said, the combination of the adrenaline and working out got me gave me the ability to do it solo. And he said, I was in much better shape when I first came into jail than I am right now. And so in terms of the why did you do it?

53:09 Markwan says that Zach told him that his ex was getting serious with this guy, and he wasn't happy that she was happy, and he didn't want his kids around their relationship. Markwan also said that around the jail Zach had a nickname. They called him Houdini, and when asked why would they call him Houdini, he laughed and said, because the dude straight up knows how to make a body disappear, and Markwan said that he felt like Zach walked around the jail kind of wore that as a jacket. He was proud of it and told Mark Kwan, Yeah, I got rid of the body in trash bags. I dumped it like trash. And he said this is a quote. Once it's gone, it's gone, basically saying nobody, no case, that's not the case. He er though, if you're looking at it, you don't necessarily need the body. And we know that because he's being prosecuted. So something else that happened that was crazy, and I'll put a picture of this on my Patreon too, is that on the eleventh day of the trial, the state got pretty upset. A prosecutor got pretty upset with Zacharia Anderson because he said that Zach was trying to communicate with his minor daughter and that there was witness tampering going on. Well, the judge at first was like, I don't think I've seen it. I don't know what you're talking about. But then camera footage from the courtroom goes and you can clearly see Zach making eye contact with his daughter and he takes his pointer finger and

54:42 his thumb and he pinches his lips closed, like saying, close your mouth is pretty compelling if you look at the photo. But after ten hours of deliberation, Zachariah Anderson, now forty two years old, was found guilty on all four counts, two counts of stalking, first degree intentional homicide, and hiding a corpse. Zach did make some statements before sentencing, and he flat out denied any wrongdoing in the case. He said, look, did I have marijuana possession? Yes? And he sounds genuine in that statement. He kind of started wanting to talk more, but his attorney gave him a look, and he kind of looked at the attorney and then he had a piece of paper and she he kind of flips over the piece of paper and abandons it looks like whatever he was about to say, And he said his family didn't get to speak on his character and he didn't think that was fair.

55:37 And he said, I didn't kill someone, but if I did, it would have been unintentional. And that kind of I went, what in my head, what do you mean if you did, it would have been unintentional. And I think there's insight to that. I think that he wanted to go beat the shit out of Rosolio, and he took it too far. He said, though I am not guilty. I'm not guilty. I'm innocent. And you know, maybe Zach isn't this crazy, dangerous man in every aspect of his life, but he sure does seem to be a problematic lover right. The judge said, though, I'm not going to comment on what type of person you are, but what you did was horrifying. And then Zach shook his head in disagreement, and the judge snapped back at him and said, you, sir, the jury has found you guilty of such.

56:29 You can shake your head now, but the jury has found you guilty. And then the judge said, whenever Zach was speaking, he had mentioned what did he deserve, And the judge said, I'm not going to talk about what you deserve. It's not my job to say what you deserve. He said, and honestly, there may be even vigilantism in the future due to the enormity of these types of crimes that keep happening. I though, don't get to dictate what you deserve. The judge asked Zach during sentencing, did you even think about the people you love. When you did what you did, did you think about your family? Did you think about your kids? Did you think about Rosa Leo's kids? I mean, my god, you're doing more than just getting what you want. You're destroying lives all over the place. And then Judge Schroeder ultimately sentenced Zach Anderson to two years in prison with two years of extended supervision for each of the stalking counts. He got an additional six years imprisonment and five years of supervision for the hiding of the corpse, and then finally he was handed down a life in prison sentence for the homicide. After Zach serves the shorter sentences for the lesser counts, he will be eligible for early release after forty years. When he was told this, there wasn't much emotion that was shown other than what looked like a mix to me of like defeat and aggravation. But a victim impact statement was read, and I want to tell you all this. I know I've told you the gist of the case, but this is where it matters, Okay,

58:00 this is where the victims come in. Sadie got up and gave her victim impact statement, and she said, you know, our daughter is in a very fragile emotional state because of this. She blames herself for things beyond a child's control. And she was crying when she was telling this, and I just my heart. I wanted to hug Sadie. You know. She said, our boys wonder if they're going to be adults when their dad gets out. And then she said something about knowing and that the intentions behind his big blue eyes and that slicked black hair. She said, I know the intentions. And she mentioned that she was going to continue to teach their children the good things about him, even though his family continues to slander her name and does not pursue a relationship with the children. He did seem like he was stressed at the thought of not seeing his daughter, and so he brought that up, and the judge did not rule on that. He said the daughter didn't ask for no contact. So Zach will have the luxury of seeing and talking to his children, but rosso Leo won't. And Zach's going to get to celebrate holidays and birthdays and milestones in life with his family, but roso Leo will not. The argument that some have posed is that there's no proof that roso Leo is dead, and y'all, that is absolutely a ridiculous one.

59:23 There's blood all over the apartment, missing rugs, no shows to camp that he was supposed to go to with his kids, no bank transactions, no money withdrawn, no vehicle usage, no credit checks, no cell phone or credit card usage, no contact with his kids or his parents for years. Give me a break. You are wilfully ignorant if you want to believe such an idea. There's still a reward by the way out there for Rosolyo's remains, and his mother said that she's praying one day that maybe hikers or hunters or someone might actually find his body. All his mother would say to the Anderson family was that if ever you know, they would put themselves in her shoes. What if it was there Zachariah who was missing, wouldn't you want answers to I've also got a link to Rosolio's celebration of life, and you can really get to know the people in his family and get to learn about him. But there was a poem that his mother read at the funeral, so I was going to read it for you real quick. She said, I would give my life to have you back, said his mom.

Close your eyes and you can see me, said her son. You are the first person who loved me, and you are the first person I loved. You were always there when I needed you, and you always knew when I needed a hug. I'm here for you now, Mom, in your heart and in your soul. I did not take your heart with me. Instead, I left mine with you to hold. One day I will take your hand and lead you to paradise. But until then, my beautiful mother, when you want to see me, you only need to close your eyes. So nobody no case. Was Zach's statement right, Well, that looks to be untrue, along with many of the other inconsistencies with Zach's claims. There has been a case, and he has been found guilty on all counts. Zach was the one who had the means, the motive, and the opportunity. And Zach was set on revenge for losing control of the mother of his children, and he was mad about her happiness, But you cannot create your own storm and then get mad when it rains. And my heart aches for Rosolio's family and for his children that were left fatherless in this case. I can't imagine the thoughts roso Leo's family must be feeling of wanting

Rosso Leo's family, I'm sure is hurt beyond words, but for them, revenge isn't necessary because, like clockwork, the Karma bus always arrives on time,
